  1. The boiler is in the garage and feeds the hot water tank in the house. We not quite move to solar cells and a heat pump yet.
  2. Hi any thought is it worth heating the hot water during the summer by the immersion heater? So I have a long run from the house to the garage which is feed by an oil fired boiler. I now wondering if it is worth using the immersion heater it might cost more but it will not heat the pipes to the house or use the pump. So I think it might cost less in total.
  3. I notice that the Ezio is an B for energy and other screens seem a lot lower efficiency.
  4. Ours got up early at first but now both lie in too a normal time. We have 2x minute dachshund and 5x 6 week old puppies We crate trained both our Dogs and that worked well. Our crate is under the stairs in the hall with curtains and the crates have blankets over.
  5. I don’t need height adjustment as it is wall mounted. Idea I want at least a 24in screen with a HDMI or Display port and DVI.
  6. Please can you recommend a 24 or 27in for working from home? I currently have a work provided Ezio 2460 but changing jobs so it will need to be returned.
  7. My motorcycle riding school had Jonathan Rea as a pupil!
  8. Might be a mid life crisis at 39?! I am doing direct access so been learning on a Z650. Got up to 60mph on Saturday.
  9. Is anyone else’s leaving to ride a motorcycle? I done my slow speed handing and just one more test before getting on the road.
  10. I finally got this same information out of Paxton. Not sure why they don’t just do the keyboard wedges as it a lot more flexible. Where did you get your reader from?
  11. I could do that but then I would have to update the end user device with updates and it would only work in the Office. I want to get it working inside wvd.
  12. I am trying to redirect the Paxton desktop card reader to do USB redirection to my remote app hosted in AVD. Has anyone managed to do USB redirection of this locally or in this kind of setup.
  13. We failover to another Azure zone from the production. It so much easier if your native in Azure. I would definitely run in Azure.
  14. So no Airlines are safe to fly with but they could choose to keep it going so why are they not. Why does the EASA not care out passenger safety?
  15. Don’t fly Aer Lingus they are not enforcing face masks between the UK and Ireland.
  16. Think broadband speed test!
  17. Why not consider AVD for you vdi as there is no capital outlay?
  18. It seems like the Edugeek cloud document needs a update. It also highlights why your MIS should be Saas based as then you don’t have to try and install SIMS on an Azure SQL instance. With cloud provider you can do the on-site component AD server inside the cloud which i did not think about until going into the private sector. Also AVD is a great product as you can auto scale your remote hosts.
  19. I would be aware of Cyber essentials for any freedom you give to staff over control of their environment.
  20. I find it strange how site manage can be little Hilters and they get full support but the IT team never do.
  21. We have onsite AD running on servers in Azure I would still run AD on a box under your control. Running in the cloud makes DR easier. You can also get VPN to azure included in one of the E licences. Have any schools gone Amazon? Mapping to OneDrive a drive letter is definitely worth it due to legacy software used in schools.
  22. So you setup the Papercut universal connector in place of the MS one https://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/UniversalPrintConnector. You then have to apply a license to all the users that you want to print. I am not sure of the cost of the Azure server as it has running other services.
  23. Hi I would like to be able to copy the meeting in a calendar of a shared mailbox to a user mailbox. Why I want to do this is user could have appointment in the shared mailbox and the personal calendar but when viewing their calendar these will not show. Thanks Andrew
  24. We user universal print and Papercut in Azure. The universal print it the bit that takes the time and is limited to 100MB by MS.
  25. You could turn of POE during the night? Also work out how much power kit uses really? Will they also be turning the Fire alarm off to save power? If it really an issue I take it they are looking to go cloud so as to move usage of power off site? Is there not a site manger online forum where they discuss ideas like this?
