  1. When I was at the traffic control centre in Belfast for a talk they said that new Home office approved camera would be rolling out soon that will take a picture of your car and the speed limit sign. I would always follow the speed limit if yellow camera are in place unless the sign says camera not in use under them. The lower speed limit is to help protect workers so it quite nice if you follow it. I would also follow the speed limit in Wales as they also seem to have a very extensive speed camera network. I not suggesting breaking the normal national speed limit at any point. It is now like play some kind of horrible computer game with certain speed limits. I heard of someone getting a ticket at 22mph! I did not believe 20mph was enforced.
  2. In most new cars the head light side to change them is now hidden!
  3. Defiantly in this category but I been spoiled by previous employers and I had a Surface book 2 and then a HP Spectre x360.
  4. Do Mac still have hinges that don't bend far enough. I want it to work on my Kensington stand on the highest slope setting.
  5. Well that not going to happen ASAP so to work at home I need my own machine. I have a 2012 Mac at the moment with SSD most people can't believe it starts up so quick! I have worked with PC every day and Mac's some days. It annoys me when I somehow do a side swipe and the screen disappears to another desktop. I am also not sure if the RDP experience would be better on a PC. I struggle with Mac as you spend a lot of money on something that can't be upgraded.
  6. I would get 1 Openreach and another either Cityfibre or another reginal provider. If it is a secondary line it does not need to be the same spec so you could have LL and a FTTP business connection.
  7. Just bare in mind that you will want E3+ security for staff as you minimum. Lift and shift my be required for some service but remember cloud first is normally more cost effective. Don't be put off lift and shift as it often easier to move from Azure L&S to a cloud native service. Let say you want to go cloud but your MIS will slow it down as you are moving to a cloud MIS well do a lift and shift on that. With backup make sure all of you cloud service are covered either by the cloud provider solution or a third party/on-site.
  8. Should I get a Mac or PC laptop for home use and what model would you get? I used to have a probook x360 14in from work loved it but very expensive. I have currently remotely access my PC over vpn and then rdp, am I better getting a PC or Mac and what would give me the better experience? There always the possibility we get work laptop but no time frame.
  9. So are we taking a managed service? So you would need to factor in an MDM to mange your machine and moving file storage and MIS. Also the cost with all of these. In the cloud you would need: Directory/Identity/AD File storage/Sharepoint E-mail MIS Printing Software deployment/MDM In business environments the use of MS E5 is quite common as that gives you all you need. It also works well with a one to one operation like you have in a lot of business.
  10. I don’t think it only Guards the rest have normal hats.
  11. Hi can anyone tell me how you do a toilet break for 5000 troops before the parade starts? Also were do you keep snacks or drinks so as not to spoil the look of the uniform? How do you also drink the right amount of fluids to stay hydrated but not need the loo and the wrong time?
  12. Yes you will need a user account to access the share think it needs to be the Papercut use. Also something I would phone Papercut directly about. Have a look at this https://www.papercut.com/help/manuals/ng-mf/applicationserver/device-mf-scanning-prepare-implementation/#add-scan-destination-details-to-users-details

  16. I am making the bike less stable as I am going slow and not looking properly. I got city driver syndrome as well constantly looking at my speed. How if I am so rubbish did I pass my test? I also not over taking enough so sat behind a lorry rather than gassing it.

  21. You must be the only person who had a reliable one of those. They where DAF’s and supposedly the worst Volvo of all time my Grandfather had the salon auto box and it was towed twice. My Grandfather last car was a Rover 416GTI auto box it went like stink. It was a brand new G reg. I remember being picked up from school and hitting the dual carriageway we where up to 70 very quickly!
  22. I would say it’s worth checking how well it integrates with MS sentinel or other SEIM solutions. I find the big picture amazing when it been setup for the environment.

  24. I found it very effective at applying software and restrictions but it is designed for modern management of one to one machines. Which to me it seems very effective at especially if your machines are home workers where 12-48 hours is acceptable.
