As a parent I filter my child’s internet daily I break his privacy but I have a duty of care. So I am confused as to why this comes up as an issue. Why we got such daft laws we adults looking after kids of and we are trying to keep them safe. It going to be great in few years we protect a child’s privacy but they got abuse online that go down well.

We are getting a power flush Nad have the option of getting a magnetic filter fitted it looks like it will be an extra £350 taking the total to at least a £1k. Is this to be expected for a 15 radiator system? Also would you recommend a magnetic filter for a heating system it not super hard water.

I have had another look and Plusnet can offer me the same service as BT for £27.99 vs 43.74. Not sure if it worth going up to a £300mb service. Plusnet don’t offer a phone service so that might be an issue.

Fibrus is there own network and 2 eero’s and Vodafone is openreach and their router. I can go with any openreach FTTP ISP but my BT contact is £43 for 150mbit!
-
Which broadband provider for home I could get Vodafone 500mb or Fibrus 300mb?

nicholab replied to chazzy2501's topic in Windows Server 2012
Diskpart on the command line should enable you to extend the logical disk size after you have expanded the virtual disk. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/diskpart- 15 replies

How do you define a cloud permission matrix I am struggling on how to define this as a simple matrix. I am trying to do this for Dev and production environments.
-
I am just struggling that you pay so must for a computer that not upgradable you can’t even increase the RAM. Is the Mac Book pro anymore upgrade?
-
I can’t see a MacBook Air with 16GB of ram and I know you can’t upgrade it. I am just concerned the MacBook does not have enough RAM for virtualisation. So would you go with a MacBook Air and two external monitors so that the screen is not an issue!
-
Do they produce a MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM? I am not sure I want to get a laptop with only 8GB of RAM if I can’t upgrade it. Am I better getting a MacBook Air and two screens rather than caring the side the connector is of the laptop. Currently my Mac connector just cover the very bottom right corner of my screen.

I need usb-c both sides does that mean I need a 14in Mac book pro?

So will a brand new Mac be less lagged with the RDP experience than an old Mac? Or would you feel lag is down to RDP or the connection I only have 150/30mb FTTP services.
-
Has anyone had issues with the new Mac and binary compatibility due to the change in chip? Also if your using your machine for RDPing to work would you get a PC or Mac?

I used to polish my shoes every day in the first couple of years at school then at least once a week. May be Boys Brigade was my training for uniform inspections. And once got told not a bad polish by an civilian from RAF NCO at well know Tennis event.
-
What’s wrong with looking smart with properly polished shoes.
-
You still want they to pass any uniform inspection.
-
Have you bulled your kids shoes so they arrive and school looking smart with a military shine?

I am planning to go with Erbauer tools as I have a reciprocating saw with 2x 4ah batteries. Also father in law has an extensive range of tools so I can just borrow tools.

If we roll out a hardened image of windows how can I show that someone cant come and open up a bunch of ports without us knowing, or reconfig to give people access. Am I able to do this with Azure security tools/Sentinel? I think this is about lateral movement as we are behind NSG's and a firewall.
