I don't like the idea of someone snooping around my personal things and wouldn't like to disclose my password to anyone. But if it was a case of proving my innocence I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Even with the drive locked, if students wanted to gain access for whatever purpose they'd just shove a paperclip into the release hole. They would here anyways.

This has happened to me before and it seems to be when imaging a single partition to a multiple partition disk. I normally just image twice as our images are really small and we have a quick network. The other way round ive found is to format the HDD prior to imaging.

This is the way I do it. add to new or existing GPO put bat file in user logon script and enable user group loopback processing mode. Works and I think its quite a tidy way of doing it.

Only thing I can think of is if a printer or other usb or similar device is been connected and is causing the BSOD. If nothing is connected and it is still BSOD does it do the same on the teacher's doorstep/driveway? I'm not sure what could be found out with this information, it would just be interesting to find out

Yes as maniac said the service can be found under http://servername/fog/client. Install this on the host, enter your fogserver's IP address and make sure all options are selected (if you want to disable any do so on the FOG console).

Have you installed the fog service? It's strange that you don't have a fog log file if you have.

Yes you need to run sysprep imediatly before uploading the image. To make life easier run the setup manager tool. Here you can define a licence key and a few other settings, maily auto generate a computer name as FOG doesn't actually rename the computer until after all the initial setup. It may also be worth reading the FOG wiki on renaming and joining to AD as you have to compile a new hostname changer dll file (it's not too hard) then put this into the FOG service folder on the computer before imaging. Once all setup it will save you loads of time.
