  1. I always feel like CSI with gigapixel image. "Section 3... Enhance!"
  2. Was a pleasant surprise this morning.
  3. I'd say a stand alone machine with virtual machines running on it.
  4. Do you have unclaimed PPI? Or perhaps you have been involved in an accident and would like to make a claim?
  5. We use OSTicket.
  6. Referring to games might not be that daft though. If it is their iPad, surely they can put whatever games they like on it.
  7. Fair points, I guess I should have worded it 'Could the parents be paying too much' depending on what specs they get.
  8. Cheaper, even if it's an iPad mini or Air I've just had quotes that came in less than £360. Obviously it depends on the model bought, but I'd say a 16GB one would suffice.
  9. Rough cost of iPad2 ~£280. £10 a month over three years £360. Would the parents be paying too much?
  10. Sorry It's not options, it's settings. Under User config > Windows Settings > Folder redirection > Desktop > Settings Tab > Grant user exclusive rights to desktop
  11. Run... Run Now... -Disclaimer- Based on experiences about 3-4 years ago.
  12. What do you have under the options? Make sure 'Grant user exclusive rights...' is unticked.
  13. I use thunderbird to access gmail and we had to have some ports opened on the firewall/proxy to get it to work. Unfortunately it's not us that control the proxy so I can't advise on what it exactly it was they did. But I did get the same error as you before the changes were made.
  14. I agree with the AAA titles and price points but I doubt the cross platform gaming would be an issue. Don't get me wrong it would be a great feature but Playstation and Xbox can't play cross platform and both sell OK.
  15. As silly as it sounds. I've also seen intermittent spiking when an optical mouse is positioned perfectly on a wood grained surface making the mouse think it's moving. Usually turning the mouse upside down will either solve it or at least eliminate it as a cause. Aside from that updating firmware has often worked for me, but I have also had to have a few board controllers replaced by promethean. --edit-- I've also know that electrical interference from extension cables etc. can cause spiking, although I've never personally had this issue.
  16. For it to even have a chance the AAA titles need to be on it. Without those at launch I can't see it taking off.
  17. As far as I can see it isn't. With the exceptions of a smaller case that looks neater on your TV stand and the possible/rumored speed increase due to it been linux based. I think it comes down to the target market, which I think is going to be younger console gamers that might not know how to set up a gaming rig etc.
  18. You can still use a KB and mouse. I also believe (can't say for definite as I haven't used one) that the controller works more like a track pad than a traditional analog stick, meaning you'd still get the faster turning etc. you'd get with a mouse.
  19. I went to the Motorhome and Caravan show at the NEC late last year. There were some really really nice campervans on show there and if I'd have had the money I would have had one in a heartbeat.
  20. does this mean I've got to get rid of my bow tie?
