its weird what things you come up with while watching tv

you could always add a gpo that either changes proxy settings to nothing or deny internet explorer from working just apply to the users you require or set the file permissions on the icon so that users in say exams security group can not read the ie icon thus stopping it from appearing ( i have used this before in our mandatory profiles so that only a specific users gets an icon for sims or our tv screen software)

i have had the same problem as you. the lea logged a call with capita and i am still waiting for an answer i will post if i find anything out we upgraded to the latest soulus 3 just before the problems started i was told i had to remove all the old solus 3 clients before i started to roll out

Dont touch them with a barge pole we got a couple on a contract and they were rubbish (the company not the printer) you ring up for a part say faulty fuser unit telling them to bring one with the engineer engineer turns up says oh it needs a fuser it will take 2 days to get one wtf i told you it was a fuser you muppets order toner they say we dont have any in stock it will take 3 days to get some more now i have a huge stock pile of the stuff they are useless 2pence worth

Can anyone tell me what to look out for with the upgrade as i am about to update from 4.x to 5.1 can i just run the installer over the top of 4.x any advice would be much appreciated.

i would say yes it cant hurt. i never used to sysprep and had alsorts of issues now after syspreping the image i have very little in the way of trust/relationship issues just 1 in the past 9 months

on the microsoft licencing website i have found my server 2008r2 enterprise licence key but it says i have 3/50 activation /seats I got the enterprise version so i could use hyper v and use the 4 licences that come with it for my vms is this correct? can i use this licence on another server or does it have to be on my host for the vms im a little confused by the 3/50 bit can anyone shed any light on this for me please possibly @Millgate might be able to help

cant you just drop the app in the startup folder on the machines thats what i do and seems to work ok

give bt a ring and they can redirect all calls to a mobile phone dont think it costs the caller any extra (dont quote me on that) they are usually pretty quick at doing this. as for the lifts they usually have a dedicated line but test anyway if it does not work tape off the lifts and do not use they just in case

That was my understanding hence why I have not moved up but let's see what happens it either works or it does not, I will address the issues as they come up.

I replaced all our teacher pcs with Fujitsu we got i5s with 4gb ram at the same price as i3s so better on price service sucks reliability is a bit iffy as our dell machines lasted 10 years some still in use today with 2 failures over the 10 years oh and 5 psus but that's not bad Had one hard drive that took over a week to be replaced they said they didn't have any (not best pleased) Another went today motherboard dead service is 2 business days with the 3 year warranty we got Another pc the power button light has failed but not worth reporting. If service is better with viglen then go with them Hope this helps

we have to do the census shortly, so i have to have this upgrade done according to the LEA i have some licences to install office 2010 but obviously i need to get gpos etc in place i thought it was the next release that required 2010 or above. i am going to have to suck it and see.
