i doubt edu/pro will make any odds what i suspect is more likely is if you are using ltsb/c or a really old win 10 base the nvidia drivers might require say 1709+ and not everything works on ltsb/c its also worth making sure you try hps nvidia drivers not the generic sometimes the generic ones dont work on laptops

im not sure for a lot of applications intel have an answer next year as being a 7nm chip (with some 10nm bits) id assume that it has a lower tdp and power requirement than a 14/10 nm intel chip so in laptops if its fast enough its almost a no brainer to get more battery life and less cooling

if its like teh discrete gpu i had on my alienware the "onboard" could NOT output to the hdmi only the nvidia card coluld use it so it needed the drivers for that installing

or at least do some qa so their chips dont appear to have more security holes than swiss cheese requiring patches that slow pc down. That alone is enough to prob me towards amd if/when i get a new pc personally

i have gone off smartboard since they went "tv" the first ones i saw have an awful failure rate they all seem to eventually get phantom input, the last new ones i saw some numpty designed them without an off switch or remote, you can standby them but they have motion sensors so if anyone walks in front f it it turns on again. If it wasnt for teachers wanting smart notebook i wouldnt even entertain them personally at this point (and notebook 18 seems to be annoying installed it without the premium features and it complains about them 30 days later and unless the board is plugged in and turned on (so even on a pc with a smartboard attached but off it does it)it puts a watermark on the notebook file (this may be a misconfiguration by me but i dont think so)

honestly at that point switch to a chromebook you still get linux if you need it and most people wont

they have just changed who its aimed at. it not aimed at locked down systems anymore its aimed at more 1:1 byod light touch management now so the people they are aiming it have have their own device possibly not even company owned and just do stuff rather than having shared pcs

once loaded onto a machine they can be modified (or nothing would work you just cant save those changes back to the profile) so onedrive installs into appdata as normal and when windows trys to remove the profile it cant fully so leaves crud behind

i assume its like my pixelbook. I can plug a usb c device into any usbc port and it works i can also plug in a usb c charger and it will charge. i an also plug in say a usbc monitor and the laptop will output video and charge on the came cable and if the monitor has a usb hub i can connect up say a wireless keyboard and mouse and a pen drive and a printer all via 1 cable

unless the local networks are part of the same domain/forest you cant sync them. as far as im aware ad connect is single domain/forest to cloud you cant sync school1.local and school2.local to one 354 instance
