If they don't get the difference between home an school tech, explain it. at length. What I'd do is book a meeting with the SLT, have a nice little PPoint with the difference in quality, impact, etc - and then drop a big number to show how much improving everything to support double your current storage to cost. They'll then either balk and never mention it again - or give you the cash, in which case "woo! new infrastructure!" And if you need numbers, maybe add a poll to this thread to see how much most schools give people ;-) -
You might wanna try setting the user GPP parts to 'update' rather than 'replace'

The method I mentioned does work, I use it here. You've got a configuration problem - maybe you could post the settings you've listed here - as well as running a gpresult on the client?

You'd get better speeds having 40 runners taking peoples web requests and running them to a computer, then printing the pages out and returning them :-p -

Personally, for a system like sims, I'd use the bootable vmware converter rather than the online one. Just power off the system, boot from it and run through as above. It does require you to be using a vcenter though. The way David outlined is still fine, but it'd just make sure that the system was exactly as before. I'd also once booted remove any hardwrae from the old server that still had a presence on the vm; see 'clean-up after power on' here Welcome to vSphere-land! » Converter Tips

That's a quality display! Don't those all in one jobbies use a hp projector? might be worth taking it down and giving it a clean out, or chuck it out to a repair shop. I'd say the digitizer is boned, lamp looks okay.

Yeah, the default printer is a user preference - so you'll want to use loopback processing to apply it per computer.

Are you adding it to a computer or users OU? Have you enabled loopback processing? Are you using exchange 2010? if so you can add transport rules to do this, it's very clever. If it's an older version you can't, but we used to use a piece of software called exclaimer to do it. If your mails out of house then maybe opus disclaimer:OpusFlow Disclaimer for Outlook or this: Email signature software for Outlook although, as for pricing I have no idea...

I assume you're looking at a contract? If so you're probably just as well looking at the high-end androids, SGS2, Nexus, etc User experience is much nicer on a more powerful handset, and it's likely to last longer...
