Plus 1 to that, I was gonna buy a satnav but started using my old desire - have since changed to the SGS2 Maps/navigation is great on them. always up to date, caching so you don't need constant data, traffic and day/night modes. Plus, if you lose GPS lock you can still use the aerials to get a rough location fix - which is very handy.
  2. IIS6 doesn't supports SANs in the CSR wizard What's it for?
  3. Are you talking about externally? Out of the box all of those, excluding moodle, should be AD integrated

    Setting up TS

Okay, in that case it probably needs to be it's own box. you definitely don't want it on a DC. Have a look at this doc: Installing and Configuring Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services) on Windows Server 2008*R2 « Aaron Walrath – Another IT Guy's Meanderings The install process is fairly straightforward - but you want to have a plan of who needs access, what they need access to, and how you will licence any applications they need - not all apps cover terminal services use.
  5. Ball? Singular? ..have you been in a terrible accident?
  6. Should you really be using "strike", "direct", "middle east" and "government" in the same sentence Vik? Although you do already live in a 'compound'
  7. I bought a Roomba 560 Pet Edition through a groupon deal, had it about 6 months now. It's great, we let it run every dya at 1pm, so usually when we're out, and it just scuttles about doing it's thing. Yes, it's not the most powerful vacuum in the world, but it's doing a little every day, and getting under all the furniture, etc. It's made our place feel much cleaner overall. Every now and again it'll get stuck somewhere, or lock itself in the kitchen, so you've gotta free it when you get home, but that's hardly the end of the world. I'm very impressed with the little thing - and whenever anyone comes round they wanna see it going...and the docking procedure when it's finished is hilarious!
  8. You wouldn't wanna actually rely on it. Apparently it fails if you wear a big hat....useful in the winter
  9. You might be better off with a one way trust, and enable accounts from one domain to have exchange accounts on the other. Deploy Exchange 2010 in an Exchange Resource Forest Topology: Exchange 2010 SP1 Help - it's what we're doing from Paris->London until we get them onto our global domain. Actually putting Exchange in two domains is gonna be nightmarish....
  10. This is very true, you could however remote to a terminal server and use the Windows Remote Assistance tool if it's a requirement for people to be able to see what's happening
  11. Remote desktop gateway is an option - you set that as accessible from the net, and tell it what machines you wanna be able to connect to inside the network, and rdp traffic is wrapped in a https tunnel. no mess, no fuss. Deploying Remote Desktop Gateway Step-by-Step Guide
  12. XBMC is no longer supported on the xbox, believe it or not. That said if you JUST wanted the emulators you could do that with one of the older releases. But probably be best to run it on a nettop or HTPC

There's a (female) friend of mine who wore a tache for a full week at the start of November - as she obviously couldn't grow a real one. now that's dedication :-) ....And hell yeah we want a photo!
  15. welp, I'm boned.
  16. You might wanna consider an XBMC install for this kind of thing: Turn Your XBMC Media Center into a Video Game Console You get a nice tv-friendly interface, plus all the media-playing goodness of xbmc. As for the emulators themselves, decide what platform you want to emulate and have a poke around here: The Emulator Zone - Your Source for Emulation! you'll find something that fits your needs. And of course, your ROMs are all legally obtained right...?
  17. That's a fairly sweeping statement ;-) Depends entirely on your current setup/requirements for 2010..
  18. it wouldn't be the first time.....
  19. You are aware Tony, that if you leave it in my hands we'll be seeing Slayer...?
  20. Because otherwise how will the kids make bad dubstep remixes to post on youtube? My god man, think of the children!
  21. ..you're only making it worse for yourself...
  22. I promise* *not an actual promise
  23. Awesome, I didn't realise they were optional....
