Are they 7341 or 7343 units on the first line? What firmware have you had it all running? -
Mathswatch video's
chinesewhispers replied to nicholab's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Has anyone seen issues where a teacher playing a video experiences the video stopping and the screen going black? It can happen usually in full-screen mode, where going back to windowed mode may resolve it temporarily. We're on Chrome 63 currently, are registered for the redirect away from Vimeo (so the feed appears to be coming from duodesign.co.uk). @MathsWatch ? -
[bromcom] Anybody using Chrome 62 having problems?

There seemed to be more positive feedback today regarding registers, thanks John, I'll let you know if there are any further issues brought to my attention. -

[bromcom] Anybody using Chrome 62 having problems?
chinesewhispers replied to chinesewhispers's topic in MIS Systems
Bromcom have told me a fix is required, so if anyone else is having problems (seems to be intermittent), this might be good news. Just hope it doesn't take too long as it is causing massive issues. -
The only change that has happened recently has been the Chrome update to 62. Now, lots of teachers are reporting significant speed issues using the interface itself, not necessarily loading pages, but entering a mark in a register can take 20 seconds or more!? Is anybody else in a similar situation?

Mathswatch video's
chinesewhispers replied to nicholab's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I've seen today that students are being presented with a vimeo embedded video on MathsWatch again. Has anyone else had a problem since their IP was supposed to be redirecting to the MathsWatch hosted videos? -
Using old APC's as RDP clients
chinesewhispers replied to AJWhite1970's topic in How do you do....it?
Windows 7 and Thin Kiosk (though you could use XP as well ). Not free, but pretty close at about £10 per unit. http://thinscaletechnology.com/thinkiosk-pc-to-thin-client-conversion-software/ To clarify, it can be done for free, but you can pay a bit for the broker and management which means you can create an image, then deploy very easily with profiles managing the connection and lockdown. Brilliant software. -

Nope, we're continuing with Groupcall.

Just to clarify, I wasn't scared of the bat, I was scared of it flying in to me and damaging itself! We know a bat man, so knew we couldn't 'handle' it to get it out!

Had one in our bedroom at home a few weeks ago. It was circling the room at a rapid rate, I had to very carefully (and bravely) walk in, across the room, open the blinds and windows walk back to the door to watch through a small opening and leave it for a while until if figured out an escape route. If you think moths/spiders are scary, this is terrifying! Just moved slow enough so I didn't get flown into! Still no idea how it got in, or when! The windows and blinds had been closed for a few days.

Any idea how it is spreading yet? Is it a specific email pattern that we can block in our Google domains? -

Do you still have any of these? -
I'm guessing there's no further need for this, so it can go to scrap. Let me know in the next week if it's still needed.

I've been having the same discussions, and from a DP point of view, in my opinion, their current model is in breach of their own policy is it not? Either way, I cannot accept to use their system the way it is set up at the moment. If it was a package hosted at our site as an intermediary, which carried out the procedure, it wouldn't matter so much. Interesting to see if the changes incorporate any of the problems with UPN highlighted here: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/security/181342-sharing-upns-externally.html as that's basically a similar discussion now.

I've requested a list of what is collected (and stored) by Wonde when they interrogate the system. If you use Wonde, or are considering using Wonde, I suggest you do the same.

Are you happy using Wonde?
