I had the same problem when i started my job at the school i am at what i did was get the agreement no and sort it out that way but we stll had to buy 30 cals one server and 60 office licences We have just gone down the route of having our own agrement no and so from now on i will be able to see all my licences online.

i do like this idea if anyone can help with this it would be great the other way i was thinking was using limit login and if the records use that as a time strap and add it into the llogin.vbs maybe

i like the last one but i am not good at writing scripts. what i was thinking was doing somthing like net send * message of the day then next line hello whats up ect and the when they log on they will get the message. but i dont know if it buffers it till the user logs on i know it used to on nt.

i need to create a script that when a user logs on it will display a message but only for the first login for that day. i was thinking of using a net send command which runs once and the users pick it up when they log in but i cant rember it thats the case. i know net send sends a message if i done it to a group of users when they log in do they still get the message. or is it just loged on users get it. any help would be really good. ( its to sort out a problem i have IE message of the day remember that the network will be going down for 5 mins at 1200 today for maintaince. )

ccnp is not that hard to do. but as i have found in the past it does not always matter what quals you have. its how well you know what you are doing for real. For example i know someone who has quals comming out of his ears. but when it comes down to it he could not manage or build a network but he could tell you what you need and how its done on paper but put a fault in the and he is stuffed

When i left the forces (due to ill health) I got a job in the company as a network administrator. What a right mess i.e due to the way its was run it goes through 3 stages befor i got it. then i would diagnose the problem. But them if it is a hardware issue i could not fix it only if it was a profile network issue any thing else and it goes to someone else. now i work in a school I diagnose fix repair change update ect ect and it felt a lot better i know now why people get so annoyed in bisness.

wow i have tried both i pefer the white one than the yellow it makes this a lot more easy. yes it is but it did not make all the writing bigger only frount ent of the site also with me it is colour related. ie you google page to me looks good and is easyer to read. ie light on dark is better than dark on white for me. everone is not the sane but for me it stops the words from moving. hence when using word i have yellow on black but when printed it still comes out black on white paper. for instance your sig looks good but for me it easy to read and if the red was darker it would be even better. http://www.irlencentralengland.co.uk/symp&dis.html look at the bottom of this page. i see the rivers version

After being given 2 computers i want to now build a file server what distro should i use i have been looking at Debian. i am looking at accessing it with active directory. I am new to this and at the moment it is just an experement. 2 computers have 3 40gb drives each but dont want to go down the windows 2003 route just for a file server.

I like some other people was discovered at a late age 23 to be precise and this was due to the fact that my boss had it that was ten years ago. what annoys me most is the fact that this is a ict fourm built around schools and so we as ict techs have to have more understanding than most. ok i cant spell well i have dyslixia reading this fourm gives me a headache due to the colours (not there fault they are working on it) but what i have done rebuilt a 2003 server from scratch rebuilt a school network from scatch and helped people on this fourm where i can with what i know. but that does not stop a small number of people making comment. If i was in your school would you tell me to carry a dictionary with me. ( i do all day) but again no good if you dont know how it spelt in the first place. just bought a acer 530n and the great thing about palms is they help spell for you.(even on the net) Thanks for the support people who have posted. (try using ie7 150% mag and see the probs it causes lol. like i said its understanding not sympathy and i know most people do but some dont. I Have been a member of this fourm for 6 months and in the last 2 months i have not been on very much. This is due to a couple of reasons 1). work is getting me down and am having to get a union involved getting very messy. 2) The lack of understanding of some people on this fourm. Yes i do have dyslixa i also have Mears Irlen Syndrome and osteoarthritis in both of my knees but I get off my a$$ every day strugle getting to work i suffer with a lot of pain. But i do not want sympathy but what i would like is a bit of understanding. People who have etheir dyslixca or Mears Irlen Syndrome but if you have Mears Irlen Syndrome you tend to have dyslixca. I do not chose to be like this and my partner gets annoyed with me for asking how to spell things every two seconds. The second thing is spell checks are great but dont help most dyslixics due to the way we spell. ie which witch. now when i am typing i dont always get it right. spell cheackers are useless so i dont use them. also with Mears Irlen Syndrome you get rivers http://www.irlencentralengland.co.uk/symp&dis.html. Due to the fact i cant change the backgroung colour of the fourm i am stuck with it.also cleartype has made it worse. This post will take me a while to type due to this fact. It does not mean i am thick Stupid Daft Of just dont bother. Most people with dylexica have a high IQ one of the causes of it is due to your brain working faster than your hands. but i have had a good experince with there bisness dept i was very shocked she was very knowlageable and told me some things i did not know and has helped me a lot get hold of origanal software. I have posted on recomended supplyers. but i do agree with you about the shop floor staff.

what a shock i have had a really bad time with software trying to get the media. Then some one gave me a recomenditoin. PC World or dsgi as they like to be know. They gave me so much info. Told me all about WAH that could be a life saver. If anyone want her name i will ask her and pass it on but she is one of the most knowledgable people when it come to licences i know. She is also setting our school with a microsoft account so we can download our own software ect. we also will recive all disks even ones we dont have a licence for so if we do buy the licence we can install it and the cost ......... £50 yes i could not belive it and that is for 3 years. ok on this topic still how do i create email on mass i have got ispconfig setup but i cant find a way to create 250 emails at once using notepad file of something.

i cant find the way to do it via ad as we want to use the google safe search as at the moment some of the little darlings take it off and wonder why half the search is missing.
