Thanks for the detail starscream what you have to rember is children need to eat lots of fruit and drink lots of fluid as kids grow up they drink less water and this causes constopation. (not going into details) which does cause bleading. I would see the doctor.

i thought the same about linux till I joined this fourm now i have 3 linux boxes openfiler, a web server (ubuntu) and one other i use for testing new projets and stuff. The thing i like about linux is that you can control it from any machine using putty. There is a good founrm called edugeek if you have problems also i found howtofourge a very useful source as it goes through step by step from basics.

i had a phone call from said company and explaned the problems. There answer was this software is not disgnied for a network ??. Then they added that the issues were being looked into and will be sorted by the next version. I did a lot of venting and he told me how sorry he was I think he felt a bit embaresed. In the end he said there was nothing he could do as he was not one of the programme enginers.

we have the same problem studio ct are brining out a new version. It also causes the programme to freeze. I beleve it is to do with the speach eng If you contact softease and speak to there enginer they will give you a work around but it is not a good one last time i spoke to the they were a couple of months befor relicing the new version. and as it is sofease you dont pay for upgradfes just new products or thats what they told me. we have just done the same thing and as long as that server is on the same domain you are covered by you first set of cals. if its going to create a second domain or a sub domain then you need to buy new cals for every machine that is going to be using the new domain. I hope that helps. Exchange cals are diffrent again.

ok two questions did are you on a network as you can install via gpo and secondly you need to register it befor it works. if want pm me also if you contact textese if you are installing via gpo they will suply you with a msi for auto registration. There are some problems with it but there support is really good.

I run dfs and replacation on profiles and home dir only as if server falles over at least people can still log in and access the my docs. as for the rest i have left but i am looking at sharing a folder on a linux server via dfs which i bolive i can do but have not got that far yet. As far as i know both server dives dont have to be raided i have one raided and one not and it seems to work fine but am still playing at the moment.

i have been doing as we speak i ran the powerpoint presentation with wink (Recomended by edugeekers)and it works like a dream saved it as flash file also put some sound to it. and best of all it is free. Could also edit timings and everything.

I have had some details back on the and from what i can find out is all they are is a hosting company hosting podcasts which you can do from your own site. All the software is opensource and they do say this. I have not got a price seems like someone else is jumping on the education bandwagon.

ok i know i am a bit late here but the server that broke was it the dhcp server if so have you installed dhcp and setup the dns in dhcp asd this will have the same problems as above. I know i am behind but better late than never

I have posted a news artical of somthing that is getting more and more common. What do you think I feel worryed after seeing this as this is giving the kids the wrong idea. the fact that she hit a head teacher and then got away with a caution. Does this mean that if it happened to us would the school back us up or just ask to drop the case. I know the unions are not happy with the outcome but i would love to know what other people think. I know it is getting more common. And the fact another student filemed it makes it even worse it was even posted on youtube.bbc news video

The problem is that no 2 techs do the same job it depends how much the school ca afford ie in secondry schools you have 3 techs one is maybe a network manager one fixes and works on servers and the other does pcs but the all work together. but i know in a lot of primary schools the tech does the lot from adding users to rebuilding server fixing pcs as there is usually only one. Ii know this is the same in some secondry schools. I dont see how they can put everyone in the same band it is not like teaching where every teacher does the same job. I am not happy with all this at all. and have made this known to my union.

they must have changed A+ a bit in the last year when i took mine it was one exam of about 50 questions done on a pc and thats it. Very easy took my n+ 1 month later then xp pro i just got 3 more exams to do to get my cisco. but am not looking forward to that one 3.5 hour exam. but like i have always said exams are easy i have a friend who has passed all his but he still calls me to help fix his pc lol.
