You can use App Control for Business in Intune, it's similar to AppLocker. This link should help you get it setup - I would advise that you deploy it to blocks of PCs instead of all at once to avoid any issues! If you select the device in Autopilot devices, you can manually set the name & group tag in here. Provided you've not set the name in the deployment profile, it'll just set the name to whatever is there

Software deployed from Intune doesn't go into the CCM folder. Is this software that you've packaged? Or just a straight MSI deployment? It is normally extracted into C:\Windows\IMECache Folder is off the top of my head so may not be 100% accurate

Just try - you don't need all the extra when deploying apps. I've deployed multiple scripts/apps the below way powershell -ep bypass -file .\Install_BgInfo.ps1

You'll need to send out the Sophos Client Authentication Agent out to those InTune devices. Don't forget to also install the Sophos CAA certificate too, otherwise it will fail authentication. Once installed, pupils can then sign into CAA (opens on startup) to then authenticate with the Sophos XG. Isn't the most seamless integration, but it works

I'd check the printer driver to make sure it's the correct version & up to date Keep a log of what exactly is freezing the queue. I've had it were printing PDFs direct from a zip folder or printing a PDF from Edge caused the queue to get stuck. Then it's the case of just speaking to staff/sending an email. You can also enable print spooler log in event viewer which may give you some more info.

This - I have 1 server running in Azure that runs all the Net2 system for all the sites. Got the schools split into different departments as we don't have the Net2 version where you can have multiple sites. Works a dream for access, although modifying anything inside the Net2 client does freeze up when making changes.

I've always used the 'Silently move known folders'. Never had to tell any staff about music/video folders as these tend not to be used as often anymore. Everything just goes in the documents folder for most staff now adays. The downloads folder shouldn't be used to store any files. Anything important should be moved into their documents

We run PaperCut MF in the cloud with no site servers. Works perfectly fine, had no complaints.

I presume you have a logging & blocking policy setup which will be causing this. You'll have to go into that policy and add the SkyGo URLs into the SSL exceptions. Unsure what they are exactly, but you may have to use another machine to see what URLs the app goes out to. Hope this helps

I believe you can use Jamf Connect to get this setup, it's 5$ per device for education (unsure if it's p/m or p/y). I've not used it myself but used the alternative in Mosyle which seemed to work as long as the user didn't change their O365 password...

If the icons are re-appearing when deleting, it most likely means they're not actually deleting them. Sometimes in the OneDrive client, you have to confirm the deletion of MANY MULTIPLES of files. A yellow icon appears over the cloud if this needs confirming. I've just been telling staff to have their laptop open side by side with their desktop and to delete them off both so they sync at the same time. There was an update in Edge to resolve the icons duplicating - just make sure you apply this. If you can't apply the update, you need to disable the briefcase icon on the edge client. In Edge > Settings > Appearance > Show briefcase .... set to disabled/off Hope this helps

There is usually a PaperCut MSI you can just set to install - why not use this instead of script? The MSI (which includes a config pointing to your server) is found in the PCClient folder share on the server Install the User Client on Windows | PaperCut

On the Authenticator app they can press the account and a 6 digit code appears there they can use to sign in with. Could it be that they're looking for?

Have you looked into Senso? There are different packages which can offer what you're looking for. Allows you to assign devices to different groups, change student passwords, lock the screen, disable internet - all the good stuff. As long as the device can connect to the internet, you'll be able to manage it

Hi all Just wondering if there is a way of disabling clearing web history with the chrome app on iPads? I have currently have a plist setup to disable incognito and some other features, but can't find anyway of disabling clearing the history. Has anyone achieved this? Cheers

Ever since portal.office.com redirect to microsoft365.com I've been having this issue too Seems to resolve it self after you manually browse to add /mail/ onto end of the outlook URL (https://outlook.office.com/mail/) Interesting to see if the senso fix above also resolves this..
