  1. Hi Oaktech, Yes this is correct you can edit the Role in the contracts section on the staff profile. Kind Regards Bromcom Training
  2. Hi Theblacksheep These sound like Assessment Reports which can take longer for a lot of Students, depending on if/how they are filtered. I am going to DM you so we can discuss the case number and I can escalate it for you. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  3. Hi Theblacksheep Can you please send me a DM with some detail on this? We would like to see which processes you are running as some will have slight delays if carried out for masses of Students/data. Best regards, Bromcom Support
  4. Hi Stgoodyeara We’re sorry that you experienced slowness this morning. There was some slowness detected briefly this morning but as you point out, this was short lived and service was only affected for a few minutes for a handful of Users. We didn’t find slowness on a scale that affected lots of users, if this was the case we would have communicated this to all affected Schools as we always do in such situations. Please DM me if you would like me to escalate a specific Support case for you. Bromcom Support.
  5. Hi Please accept our apologies for any performance issues you have experienced using Bromcom recently. Our Status page shows there were no Performance related issues on 06/05/22 when this article was created so it may have been a local disruption (https://status.bromcomcloud.com/incidents). If the issue persists, please Contact our Helpdesk so that we can help to identify the cause and ensure that our services are not causing/contributing to slow performance. Kind regards, Bromcom Support.
  6. Hi Bobsmith, we are really sorry to hear that you've had this experience. Please can you drop me a PM with your contact details and we'll get someone to give you a call as soon as you are free this morning, to ensure that your issues are resolved.
  7. Hi there Firstly, welcome to Bromcom. So the Curriculum Assignment/Bulk Group Assignment is one method for assigning/reassigning Students to Classes. This process is recommended more for Secondaries where Bands are used, there is also a Class Assignment feature which is better for making smaller changes for Students. Regarding your NOVA T Timetable Import, it may be that your Timetable Project is including AM/PM or Lunch and is therefore not aligning as it should in Bromcom. This is something we would ideally need to assess in a session with yourself so that we can see exactly what is happening. Can you please DM with your School Details so that we can discuss booking a Session for you. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  8. Thank you for your comment TJ-Diggers Homework set through Teams looks the same as Homework set through MCAS. Many thanks Bromcom Training
  9. Hi Roby Thankyou for confirming a ticket was created and you have been contacted by an agent. I understand these situations are frustrating and I apologise again for the inconvenience you have experienced. We take pride in our service and always try to prevent/resolve such issues swiftly. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  10. Hi Oaktech I apologise for any inconvenience you also experienced. We encourage users to contact support, as we do not want to assume that any performance issues are related. It also allows for direct communication with an agent who can log in to assess the site performance. We will always try to be transparent and alert our users when there is a collectively Known Issue, using the Known Issues page on our Support Site. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  11. Hi Robyholmes Sorry to hear you have been experiencing some problems recently. Have you raised a Support case with our Helpdesk for this to be investigated? You can PM me the case reference if so. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  12. Thankyou for the update, I will check my messages now and take a look. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  13. I will be very intrigued to see the outcome of this! Other than a pop up blocker or other security, there shouldn't be a difference between how fast it runs or processed in different locations. Please feel free to message me the case reference privately or if you wish to discuss further. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  14. Hi Kennysarmy Sorry for the issues you are experiencing, yes please raise a support case with our Helpdesk. There are likely to be some Error Logs that we can check via Config>Setup>System Logs, which can help us to identify the cause/route of the error. Assessment Web Merge Reports can take their time but when it takes more than a few minutes, this is something we can look into. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  15. Hi Jaan, we made a change before Christmas and we are still fine tuning this - specifically, enhancing intrusion prevention capability and ensuring that this scales. We did also take steps to increase database resources last week. Apologies for any disruption to your service that this might have caused. Kind regards, Bromcom support
  16. Hi Rob446, Bromcom’s browser-based e-Timetable project timeline slipped because of our work on Covid-related features taking priority over the last 18 months. A release date will be published later this year. Until it’s released, similar to any other Windows-based timetabling software in the market, if users need to install and run e-Timetable on local laptop/PC, it will mean local Admin rights, which we appreciate can become a security challenge. This is where security policy of school or MAT may become an issue and creates this challenging decision for the school. However, if you are not using roaming profiles, then the system/network admin can install the software for the user as administrator, and then the subsequent use of the application by user does not require ‘admin’ privilege as it utilises window’s user profile folders and automatic update checks are done each time application is launched. The issues arise if roaming profiles are in use because you will need to provide ‘admin’ privilege to the user on their PC/workstation. The above said, Bromcom has 100s of schools using without any security incident over the past 10+ years. Also, whilst not browser-based, Bromcom e-Timetable is the only product that has “two way sync anytime” between Cloud MIS and a timetable product and this unique feature is very popular with our users. I hope that helps.
  17. Hi Kiran Currently DOB's will not be returned in the Global Search at the top of the Bromcom MIS, but on the Students page you can add DOB as an Additional Column and then apply a filter against DOB to find Students between the desired date range (please see attached). Kind regards, Bromcom Training
  18. Hi Kiran Thank you for your question. Yes, you can search for a single DOB from the Students Lists Page, then choose the Search Filters on the Top Right to see the Date of Birth Range. You could also add DOB as an additional column to the student list page and use the column filter header to search as well. Kind Regards Bromcom Training
  19. Hi there Sorry for the issues you previously experienced with our Help Centre. We have carried out extensive testing to ensure our sites are fully functioning which they are now and continue to monitor them regularly for stability. Kind regards, Bromcom Support.
  20. Hi everyone, this is now resolved. As Jaan has pointed out we made some changes to the application gateway this week, and despite extensive testing and further checks this morning at 0800, at around 0830 we could see a queue beginning to form and had reports that some users were unable to login. The team quickly identified the issue and made some changes which resolved it. We have updated the service status page with the incident - https://status.bromcomcloud.com/. Very sorry for any inconvenience caused. As usual if you experience any issues today, please let support know. Best wishes, Bromcom support
  21. Just a heads up for all Bromcom IT Techs out there. We are making some important changes which will affect any Schools who actively manage access to Bromcom's IP Address. Check out the link below for Guidance; https://docs.bromcom.com/knowledge-base/ip-address-changes/ Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  22. Hi there We have many Schools that use Wonde to connect to their Bromcom MIS and pull data across, which works absolutely fine. Unless Its Learning can directly connect to Bromcom via their own API's, we would advise that Its Learning contact Wonde to troubleshoot/discuss this as Wonde would be pulling the data out of Bromcom. We are happy to discuss further via PM if needed. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  23. Hi Jaan Yes please feel free and I can assist Kind regards, Mem
  24. Hi all Please accept my apologies for the issues yourselves and your colleagues have experienced accessing the Help Centre. We are aware of issues and have made changes throughout August, including increasing resources. Yesterday and this morning we made further changes in response to the reports yesterday. This morning several customers have reported that the site is now available, but they have had to clear their cache on each page, to remove the previous error messages. The next time you try to access the Help centre, please clear your browser cache as you go (Control & F5) and this should correct the issue. If the issue persists, please contact the Bromcom Helpdesk and we can investigate further. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  25. Hi Jaan I have checked with the team and they believe it may be down to you not having your new Academic Year set up. Could you please confirm if you have setup the 21/22 Academic Year within Config>Curriculum>Academic Years? Kind regards, Mem
