  2. Good Morning Michael I would like to personally assure you that this is not a common occurrence. This issue first occurred yesterday morning and was quickly resolved but appears to have resurfaced. We are working urgently to fully resolve this issue and ensure it does not happen again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused and if you need anything you are welcome to send a private message as well. Kind regards, Mem
  3. Many thanks Gszech I have updated the article now. Thank you for highlighting that and apologies for any confusion caused. Kind regards Bromcom Support
  4. Hi gszech We would love to try and clarify some of the points raised if we may Our Helpdesk operates the same hours every working day and week all year round, including half terms (the only exceptions are Bank Holidays/Christmas). Our support does finish at 4 on Wednesdays, which is purely for staff training. Without this, our 1st line agents knowledge would fall behind as the system evolves. In the past, many of our competitors have reduced their support hours or even closed their support for days at a time (outside of Bank Holidays), this is not something we have ever done. Regarding support videos, we have hundreds available on our Documentation Centre. Granted they are not all stored in a single location/section but there are many throughout the site. We also offer free training via online courses, unlimited CSM calls and unlimited free webinar training, all of which can be booked easily online Also, just to be safe we have raised your query about 128-bit vs 256-bit with our technical teams. They confirmed to us that our solutions use 256-bit's encryption with 2048-bit RSA key. We are more than happy to discuss this further via PM if you wish. Kind regard Bromcom Support
  5. Hi Kennysarmy Thank you for the question. The answer is yes development is progressing nicely. We do not have a nailed on date just yet but I would expect this becomes clearer in a month or two. As soon as we know more we will share it with everyone. For now I can, however share with you some of the exciting features being worked on, which are as follows; Improved flows for planning and curriculum plan, staffing and rooming processes, whilst retaining the key features of the existing software. New "conflict" functionality to handle some of those tricky questions timetablers need to handle, as well as improved checks and functionality for classes without a teacher or room. For scheduling, we are aiming to provide more system driven solutions to accompany the excellent drag and drop feature we already have. If you have any other questions, feel free to DM me. Kind regards, Mem
  6. Hi Kennysarmy I hope you don't mind me jumping in to this thread to apologise if this has been your recent experience. We always prefer to discuss a query over the phone or a teams call, as it's much quicker for us too! That said, sometimes troubleshooting requires us to gather evidence, investigate remotely, replicate and work through the query with a 2nd or 3rd line agent. I can't comment on the detail of this specific case but we would be keen to get the detail (you can send any examples to me via DM) so I can pass onto the Customer Support Manager for his review and to take any corrective action. Kind regards Bromcom Support
  7. Hi mthomas08, I'm really sorry to hear this Would you be okay to send me a PM with some more detail so I can look into what happened please? Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  8. You are very welcome Take care
  9. Hi Bezingatron Thank you for the query. We have double checked and at present, EHCP Funding is not available as a data item in the oData MIS and Vision feeds. The best option for you to obtain this data would be to use Adhoc/Quick Reports and Live Data feed to Power Bi. The attached guide should assist with this - https://docs.bromcom.com/knowledge-base/how-to-import-data-directly-into-ms-excel/ You can also raise this as a development request via the Support Portal and we will look to implement it in future releases. Kind regards, Bromcom Support.
  10. Hi Jaan I am very sorry that this case has not been resolved yet. I am chasing up with the Software team now and we will update you via the case shortly. Kind regards, Mem
  11. Thanks Jonathan Would you be able to raise a ticket through our Support Portal please? We will need to have a look at your system to fully understand the situation and offer further guidance. You can also PM the case reference on here so we can discuss the case further if needed Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  12. Hi When you say Merge, are you saying you have duplicate records of Contacts or you would like to be shown how to add/remove/update Contacts? Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  13. Good Morning Jonathan Unfortunately Parents/Parental Contact Details and Priorities etc cannot be Bulk imported currently and must be manually managed. You can Import Basic/Personal Details, Emails and Telephones for Students via Manual Data Import/Export but not Parents. Please let me know if you have any questions Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  14. Hi Carter @noelmm beat me to it and are spot on. You can find these details in Config>Adminstration>Core Details (please see attached). Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  15. Hi Jaan If you go to Config>Setup>System Settings, are you using Bromcom's SMTP Service or your own? The SMTP Service is essentially how Emails are sent from your system, either via a Bromcom server or your own Server. If you are using Bromcom's SMTP Server, this comes with 3000 free Email Credits a month so it is likely that you are close to/over this allowance if you are being notified about it (you can check your balance via Modules>Communication>Overview). You can also use this page to upgrade your monthly allowance if needed. Hope this helps and if you have further questions, please let me know. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  16. Thanks for confirming that it worked Jaan. Yes due to where the Previous Address is located they will also need access to Edit. An alternative if you would prefer users not to have this access, might be to build a Report and include Previous/Past Address as a Data Item. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  17. Hi Jaan I'm certain that the permission you are looking for is found in the Framework Module of Roles & Permissions, under New Student Details>Profile>Basic Details>Save (please see image). A lot of Framework permissions do work alongside others so if granting the above permission does not allow users to Edit the Basic Details for a Student (the next time they log in), please let me know. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  18. On 22 December 2022, Bromcom Computers PLC (Bromcom) won a landmark High Court case involving United Learning Trust that has important implications for the way in which public procurement contracts are tendered for and awarded. The court case involved one of the largest tenders to date for the provision of cloud-based Management Information System to UK schools. In bringing this case, Bromcom wanted to highlight the need for fair and best practice in the procurement process for Management Information Services (MIS) in the public education sector. Bromcom’s position has now been vindicated by the High Court which found that there were serious breaches of procurement law in the way the two competing tenders had been assessed from both a cost and quality perspective. The case provides important legal clarifications that will help public bodies and bidders conduct better and fairer processes for the benefits of the education system. It confirms that parties involved in procurement must be held accountable for breaches of procurement laws. This is demonstrated by the finding that taking into account a discount/rebate from an existing contract was unlawful. – Ali Guryel, Founder and Executive Chairman of Bromcom, said in a statement: “Securing best practices in procurement that will ultimately benefit children’s education is something we value highly as a company. In a new era of Multi Educational Trusts and the move to more cloud-based computing across schools, we are confident our success in this legal action will lead to better outcomes for schools and their pupils in the future. In line with Bromcom’s motivation in bringing this case, which was never about financial compensation, Bromcom has pledged to donate 50 percent of any damages, after recovery of costs and expenses, to education charities and awareness campaigns for best practices in public procurement" https://bromcom.com/news/bromcom-statement-on-december-2022-high-court-ruling/
  19. Hi Timbo343 I have checked this with the Team and it looks like these are Hard Coded Roles and at present, cannot be added to. I thought they may have been linked to Contract Roles but unfortunately not. We did a lot of work on Behaviour around Autumn 2022 so that isn't to say that more Roles aren't coming, so I would definitely raise this as a development request as it is a good idea, and hopefully we can add additional or custom roles to the MIS in the future. Hope this helps! Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  20. Hi CarterUSM I am not familiar with epraise, but assume it works through a Third Party User Account within the MIS. It sounds like data is syncing normally but just the example provided is not working/syncing. Third Party systems connect through APIs that writeback data to Bromcom but how often/when is down to them. I would get in touch with epraise first and make sure that the sync is working and the system is working from their end. In the meantime, if you go to Modules>Setup>Third Party Access Permissions and Logs in Bromcom, you should have a User Account there for epraise. If you select the epraise account, you should see which permissions it has granted and a log table below showing the systems speaking essentially. If this table is empty, then there is an issue with the synchronisation between Bromcom and epraise. And just to support the paragraph above, when you contact epraise, double check which Third Party permissions they require and make sure that these are all granted. Hope this points you in the right direction. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  21. Hi Supportman Thankyou for this. We were alerted to this early this morning and worked quickly to identify this problem which appears to have been rectified around 8:45am this morning. Apologies for any inconvenience you or your Parents were faced with and thankyou for writing to alert other users. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  22. Hi CarterUSM Would you be able to raise a case for this please, we will need to take a look at your system to ensure we are understanding your query correctly and perform some checks. Once the case is raised, you can DM the case reference so I can check the progress/outcome of it if you wish. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  23. Hi SMAS59 You can do this one of two ways; -You can go to each Students Record, click on the Enrolment tab on the left sub Menu and then on the right you will see Timetable. Once it is open, you have the option to print it from there. -You can go to Reports>Curriculum>Timetable. Once there, select the desired Students and the dates you want to look between then Run the Report. Once the Report is ready, you then have the option to Print all of the Timetables as a Report so you can then just give each Student their own Timetable. Hope this helps! Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  24. Hi Carter USM From my understanding, Fine Scores are an old/outdated data set. Conversion guides for this can be found on Google if you wish. To move forward, you need to obtain your Student’s Scaled Scores. You can download the CTF Assessment including their Scaled Scores from the DfE. Once you have that data, you need to select the correct estimates when setting up the KS4 Dashboard Snapshot, so that their Scaled Scores are used for the calculation of their progress. If you have any further questions or struggle with this, please contact our help desk directly and we would be happy to assist you. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
  25. Morning all Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience you have experienced this morning. We are working hard internally to find a resolution and have provided communication with workarounds which appear to work for the majority of users (cache delete from Browser settings has worked for myself on Chrome). We will send further communication once the issue has been fully identified/resolved. Thanks again and Kind regards, Bromcom Support
