MathsTeacher1988, Our experience with the Gradebooks has been a mix bag so far, however we feel after full year we are getting better at using them. Gradebooks are still slow and clunky though. Are you planning to use the gradebooks for tracking or just reporting? iSAMS is rolling out Curriculum Manager soon, which promises to make gradebook creation and management little easer. Yeah iSAMS support is really hopeless. I don't think there is option to filter the gradebooks based on a Form or Class. However you can create subject / year level gradebooks and then Class / Form Gradebooks, share all the columns between the relevant gradebooks, assign students and teachers to each gradebooks according to your class or form group as required, that way teachers don't have to filter the gradebook, they will get access to their own gradebook for their class or Form. You will end up with lots of gradebooks though. Hope this makes sense. Kind regards, Muhammad

Good afternoon, everyone, We are a large international school based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and we’ve recently transitioned from SIMS to iSAMS. I’m currently trying to figure out the most effective way to set up and use the Gradebooks module, but so far, the experience has been quite frustrating. Some of the issues we’re facing include slow performance, the inability to add data like attendance, behavior, and class codes, and the need to archive all gradebooks at the end of each academic year. Additionally, with over 1000 gradebooks to manage each year, mapping each one to a reporting cycle has been a significant challenge. I would greatly appreciate hearing from fellow iSAMS users on how you are managing Gradebooks. We are an International school moving from SIMS to iSAMS, I would to have some insight form the school, who have moved to iSAMS recently; were you able to migrate your data from the marksheets, such as previous termly assessments, target grades, mock grades, exam grades, CAT4 grades etc? Hi All, I will appreciate if anyone could point me in right direction. I work in an International School in Kuala Lumpur, we use Cambridge exam board (CIE), and we are in Zone 5. For some reasons CIE does not provide basedata for IGCSE and AS and A2 exams for Zone 5! so our exams manager makes exam entries directly on the CIE website. I have spoken to few people and they said, you can create your own basedata to overcome this issue. I was wondering if anyone have done this, or have access to documentation to create the basedata. We use SIMS and I have asked our SIMS accounts manager to for assistance, however I am still awaiting for her response. Kind Regards, Muhammad

Many Thanks Edu-IT, we have looked into using CPOM for this, however we would like to maintain lot more information and we need a decent reporting / analytics, as we have quite a busy Counselling department.

I was wondering if someone could point me in right direction. We are a SIMS school, I have been asked to look for a solution to manage students counselling data, which should be able to sync with SIMS. I have done web search without any luck. I know some people have recommended using Interventions in SIMS for this purpose, however I don't think it is fit for purpose for our school. Any suggestion is welcome.
