Hi Chill, thank you for the query. Having checked my test system, a good alternative you can try is to create the EAL Flag as a Data Field rather than a User Defined Field. A Data Field allows you to simply mark the Student as Yes or No in terms of being fluent in English rather than progress or level. The benefit of a Data Field is it allows you to use the Quick Edit function to then Apply the Flag to Students in Bulk because EAL already exists in Bromcom as a Data Field. It takes a matter of seconds and will give the Students the EAL Flag in whatever colour/format you have chosen. If you want to keep the EAL Flag created from a UDF, then you may need to look at changing the Field Type of the User Defined Field that the Flag is linked to (True/False or Text for example). The last option is to create the Flag based on a Report Group, all you would need to do here is create a Report Group called EAL for example and then whenever a Student is added to that Group, they will receive the Flag. You can add multiple Students to a Report Group at once and you can even make it Dynamic so that it updates the Students daily based on criteria/conditions being met. Kind regards, Bromcom Support

Hi NX01 So with Bromcom's Web Merge Reports, we do have an option to skip missing rows (Students who don't return data). This should work for Whole Pages as well but it depends what else the page is in your Web Merge Template. If you have Student Name and Tutor Group on every page for example, then the Student will still show even if there is no Assessment Data for them. However, if the page is entirely Assessment Data then the system should skip the page if the Student does not have a grade yet. Please feel free to DM me if you have further questions. Hi Jemal, Thank you for your comments regarding space for documents. Its 10Gb for a secondary school and 3gb for a primary as standard which is usually enough for most schools however, you have the option to purchase additional storage if required. Kind Regards Bromcom Support

[bromcom] CAT Scores across multiple marksheets
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to MrBungalow's topic in MIS Systems
Hi Mr Bungalow This is possible. If you create a subject (some schools also do specific terms/assessment types but choice is yours) and assign the data to that subject, you can include a column in the template that looks at that specific assessment term/year group/assessment type/subject. This will still allow the data to pull through for any assessment sheet as as long as you are not selecting "Same as Template", and are selecting the specific subject instead for that column's mapping Kind regards, Bromcom Training -

[bromcom] Annual reporting in BROMCOM
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to MrBungalow's topic in MIS Systems
Hi Mr Bungalow Yes you can build annual reports via a Web Merge in Assessment. The process and building comment banks is covered in the Assessment Training and in these guides ; https://docs.bromcom.com/knowledge-base/how-to-create-a-report-to-parents/ https://docs.bromcom.com/knowledge-base/how-to-manage-comment-banks-2/ If you add a comment assessment type to the word document as described in these guides this will pull any comments inputted into the comment column in the marksheets. Bulk import of all info for new starters
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to CarterUSM's topic in How do you do....it?
Hi CarterUSM Thank you for raising this question. It's not currently possible to link the data in the forms to the Admissions Form however you can in Microsoft Forms convert the responses into an excel spreadsheet and then you could then use the Manual Data Import process in Bromcom to bulk update the information from the forms. See How to do a Manual Data Import and Manual Data Export – Bromcom Basically the Manual Data Import process creates a spreadsheet of data for the students selected and then you can add the data you have collected from the forms into that spreadsheet. [bromcom] Bromcom Equipment Booking System
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to CHiLL's topic in MIS Systems
Hi Chill, thank you for reading the documentation. Regarding the questions raised; Auto-approved/first come first served bookings. We have a number of resources available to book and we'd like staff just to be able to book them without the need for approval by an admin. Is this possible? If a resource is booked, how can another member of staff see this? Ideally some form of calendar view, where staff can quickly see if the resources are free for a specific period/time would be ideal Timings - I have set the times that items can be booked to correspond with our lesson timings - but can we not just have it listed as Period 1, Period 2, etc? Instead of staff having to select specific start and finish times? Hiding department specific resources from everyone else, so only that department can see and book their departmental resources 1.Auto-approve isn't currently possible for equipment booking requests 2. You could give a role access to the individual view on equipment booking requests from config>Set Up>Roles and Permissions. Choose the role and click edit and from within Diary give access to individual view 3. At the moment it is set up for time as appose to period 4. Again this isnt currently possible to define who can see the equipment Kind Regards Bromcom Training -

[bromcom] Migrating CPOMs into BromCom
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to AJWhite1970's topic in MIS Systems
Hi Andrew It isn't currently possible in Bromcom to import safeguarding information in bulk. However, you can download student chronologies individually from CPOMS, and then upload the files one at a time to each pupil. Then add an incident to a student and attaching the chronology and put something like 'Please see attached document for safeguarding file prior to using Bromcom before X date' Kind Regards bromcom training- 1 reply
