Where is Bromcom getting these "extra" roles from?
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to lifeisshort's topic in MIS Systems
Hi lifeisshort As Jaan said, you can try changing the Group type to Subject or Year Group to find the other roles that are pulling through for this staff member. If you are new to Bromcom, I would also recommend joining the community where you can interact with lots of other Bromcom users for tips, best practices and general questions - if you PM your name and School name I can get you an invitation code. Kind regards, Bromcom Support -
Hi Strawdog There was an issue with one server this morning which affected a handful of Schools. We will be performing maintenance on that server tonight to avoid any further issues occurring. Apologies again and thank you for your understanding. Kind regards, Bromcom Support.

Hi Theblacksheep. The incident for yesterday was added at 11:06am yesterday as far as I can see, please see attached. Kind regards, Bromcom Support
-
Hi @Theblacksheep Today's temporary drop in performance was due to a Server CPU spike, which was caused by additional monitoring/logging that we put in place for some checks. This unfortunately and unexpectedly created a backlog of requests which began clearing an hour or 2 later from what I can see. We have disabled the additional monitoring to avoid this happening again. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience you/your colleagues experienced. Kind regards, Bromcom Support.

[bromcom] Tool to convert KS2 scaled scores to fine levels
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to CarterUSM's topic in MIS Systems
Hi CarterUSM We are currently working on applying the new DfE specs to the KS4 Dashboard so that it works automatically from the scaled scores held within CTF Assessment. Until this is in place, you will need to convert the SS to FPS if you want to use progress measures with the KS4 Dashboard. I'm told there are resources out there to assist with this until we have the above in place. Kind regards, Bromcom Support -

Bromcom - Internal Isolation/exclusion
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to mrjkwilson's topic in MIS Systems
Hi Mrjkwilson You can Schedule Detentions to take place throughout the day, but if the Students are timetabled to Teaching Classes, the Detention will not take priority or overwrite them. If the Student is not in a lesson the Teacher is also not in a lesson at the time, the Detention can take place during Lunch or P4 for example. Withdrawal Groups give you the ability to take Staff out of lessons for specific periods if you wish. Kind regards, Bromcom Support -
Hi Strawdog Thank you for letting others know. I am the one who tested it for you after my colleague asked me to try on my Macbook. Sorry it was not the quickest response but as mentioned in the case, there are workarounds for this and it affects Windows users as well so I am grateful that you raised it and can be resolved by the software team. Kind regards, Bromcom Support

Bromcom - Internal Isolation/exclusion
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to mrjkwilson's topic in MIS Systems
No problem at all, probably the withdrawal groups as this will create a timetable and register with marks for the teachers on the lessons dashboard so you will be able to record attendance and report on this as well. Kind Regards Bromcom Support. -

[bromcom] Bromcom to Google Classroom Sync
Bromcom_Support_2 replied to timbo343's topic in MIS Systems
Hi Timbo343 Thank you for your post, can you please raise a case for this with Bromcom Support and they will look into this for you. Kind Regards Bromcom Support -
Hi CyBeRkId2002 The expected functionality with Google Classrooms is that Staff and Students are added on the first user sync run after they become active on Bromcom. So If a student's enrolment date is 01/09/22, they'll be added to the tenant on the first sync run on or after that date. Alternatively, if a Staff Member's Contract starts on 02/09/22, they will be added after the first sync from this date onwards. Kind regards, Bromcom Support.

Hi So when you've set up a Dynamic Report Group, you need to press Refresh just above the section where the Students will be. Depending on the Dates and Filters selected it should then populate with Students and any Student within that Group will have the Flag given to them. RE: Data Fields, a Data Field will only let you pick one type of value such as Text or Decimal, if there are multiple values you need then you would need to have a Data Field that allows you to cover all of them or have multiple Data Fields set up. Personally, I would recommend having Report Groups based on Level of Fluency and then create 2/3+ Flags that are then linked to those Report Groups which is efficient and easy to do. The Report Groups don't have to be Dynamic as long as you are happy/prepared to manually manage the Groups when Students join/leave your School and keep it up to date. You can add 100 Students to a Report Group in one action if needed so it is quite easy to get them in order. If you wish to discuss further or have more questions please feel free to DM us. Kind regards, Bromcom Support.
