Isn't there a setting where you can trust a computer in iTunes? -
If imaged with Clonezilla were they sysprepped. I've had problems with conflicting SID's and users before with badly imaged machines.

+1 Scan Ebuyer are great but getting an account with them is a lot of unnecessary hastle.

After that, you might want to run Wireshark. You might see source and destination IP's being generated - in large numbers.

A physical check is definitely in order. Someone has plugged 2 sockets together. I bet my @$$ on it. If you dont find a looped socket, check any cabs that aren't locked.

Ooooh. Thats properly blown!

Wiring is fine. They're PC that replaced others over the summer. Never had a prob with the other ones. Actually, the problem is a bit random. I went to one that was playing up yesterday and it rsop'd fine. Did a reboot and then error'd. Most odd.

Tried. No joy. Got an error in the logs that says - cannot contact a domain controller, network not available.... the GP processing errors. Net connection is there though and the user settings are applying.

Hey all, Computer settings not applying on startup. Rsop errors are: Then network is not started....... or Core failure of group policy..... Now, this only applyies to one particular hardware setup. Any other machines I have in that OU work fine. Same software image, different hardware. I'm also using the same group policy objects in other OU's which work fine. 'Wait for the network at startup' is enabled. User config applies fine. Motherboards are Asus H81T, i3, m-sata SSD's and 8gb RAM. I've had this for ages. 3 out of 25 behave themselves, the rest don't. All setup identically, BIOS and everything. Please don't post about DHCP, DNS etc etc because I've been through it with a fine fine tooth comb and it's spot on. The problem isn't at the DC end. I am certain. I am stuck. Any idea's??

Need BGInfo to run at computer startup
mikkydoos replied to mikkydoos's topic in Windows Server 2012
OK. All of my whiteboard PC's are named WHITEBOARD-01, WHITEBOARD-02 etc I've hacked together a little script that will do it for now. Looks for the string "WHITEBOARD" in the hostname. ----------------------------------------------------------- @ echo off echo %computername% | findstr /i "WHITEBOARD" > nul if %errorlevel% == 0 ( "\\sv-01\network apps\BGInfo\BGInfo.exe" "\\sv-01\network apps\BGInfo\HostNameOnly.bgi" -timer:0 -nolicprompt -silent ) else ( goto :eof ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Applied via GPO to users so it runs on logon IF the hostname is relevant. Its a hack, but it'll do for now -

Need BGInfo to run at computer startup
mikkydoos replied to mikkydoos's topic in Windows Server 2012
@Boredguy Great script but that wouldn't do exactly what I'm trying to achieve. The scenario is that I want to display the hostname on our interactive whiteboards only - using AirServer to display Ipads and Androids. The hostname is so teachers can identify which board they should connect to. However, I do not want the hostname displayed on any other device they log onto. -
