Did you have to bribe the security with a load of beer to get in the overflow. Were the toilets closed and you had to poo in a carrier bag in your tent? Did you have to stack 3 disposable BBQ's on top of each other to keep them alight at 1.00 in the morning under an umbrella? Was the entertainment was finished by the time you got in cos the access roads were closed until midnight. And so on....... I did. Never again. I think it was 2012 when it was almost cancelled due to rain. LOL. It wasn't great.

Yep. I haven't got a problem generally, just the one I manually installed I noticed picked up the setting. Another GPO is has precedence over the problem setting anyway when the machine is moved to the appropriate OU. Don't like settings lurking!

Thanks @ChrisH I have done that but to no avail. The old settings where this would have originally been before the new 2012 R2 domain controllers was Internet Explorer Maintenance, which no longer exists, and subsequently doesn't appear on any reports, but its seems its still lurking in there somewhere and propagating out to clients. It may even be left over from Server 2003.

Hi all, Wondering if anyone knows how to search all the GPO's in a domain for a specific value. I noticed a machine where I did a manual Windows install from a disc. When I popped it in its OU it picked up an old proxy server address that is lingering in there somewhere. I think the setting is from the old Internet Explorer settings that used to be in Server 2008 GPMC but not 2012 GPMC, hence I can't find it manually or with Powershell. Any ideas on how to clean it up ?? Cheers in advance

Try this. Its the ACPI driver that isn't available for download from HP's (pathetic) support site. Its for Win 7 but might work. Have you got an unknown device in the device manager? Hi all, Go and check your WSUS console. Its most likely broken or your client aren't receiving updates. I doscovered mine wasn't working after trying to do a forced update from a client to my WSUS server and it kept bugging out. If you dare, disconnect from the server in MMC and try to reconnect (at your peril) The error I was getting was "Cannot connect to server. SQL is not running." There is another post on here from @robsonma but I found a few more steps to get WSUS running after update KB3148812 breaks it.
