Any game with the "Games for Windows" logo, is fully compatible with the XBox360 controller and "should" work without any config. I play lego star wars with mine.... yes thats right! hardcore gamer. O and also lego indiana jones, classic games lol

+1 for the xbox 360 pad, has to be a wired one unless you get the wireless adapter, it cannot be a wireless controller with a play and charge kit Works on Vista and 7 without extra drivers

I find programming so interesting, I started my whole project as a console project, and its developed into an entire graphics engine. Once you have the basis for all of it, adding other parts becomes much quicker. Code reusability is definiately a good thing! Still its just a hobby at the moment, I am hoping to make something useful in the end though!

Pluggin in a USB keyboard works? Have you checked to make sure that all of the keyboard is knackered? It could be the ribbon if the hard drive replacement required removal of the body of the laptop

Tis a shame cus I quite liked the linux ones (well our one has eeeBuntu on it now the original linux was rubbish) You shouldn't have any problems, although the RM bloatware will slow it down somewhat from what it is like now. I would give it a test installing pro on there and making sure the hardware buttons work (fn etc), some of the Asus eeePCs have hardware buttons controlling the wireless and if they are not working it can cause some problems.

Are they not XP home? I beleive they are making a product called RM connector for that purpose, was speaking to a rep at a conference a while back. I have heard they are not pushing for the linux version of this now meaning the linux notebooks will remain unsupported in connecting to the CC3 / 4 networks.

I have had that issue before and reason 0 is when it cannot connect to the server for whatever reason. It happened to us as our server was creaking and v old, so when loads of people were logging on some just gave reason 0 errors. Since we have had a new server it has stopped. I believe we also had it when SIMS tried to update and managed to lock the database then the update failed and the database wasn't unlocked. Between XP64 and Vista64 I would say Vista anyday, the 64bit version is stable and reliable I have never had a problem.
