We use it as backup internet for some of our schools. Never had an issue with reliability on the Local Priority 50GB plan. As a test, we ran a school on it for a day and no one noticed a difference over FTTP. Can't comment on support as we have never needed it.

Hi All, Hoping someone can help here. We recently installed two APC UPS units, both equipped with network management cards. We then installed PowerChute network shutdown on our 2 Windows hosts and configured it to shut down the hosts when the runtime gets to 30 minutes: The UPS are in a redundant config: However, when testing, the hosts did not shut down when the UPS reached 30 minutes remaining; they stayed on. PowerChute detected that the mains were lost, but then did nothing when the UPS got to 30 minutes remaining. There seems to be a lot of conflicting settings between the NMC & PCNS. Such as this section in the NMC. Has anyone managed to configure NCM & PCNS?

For us it was an issue on Securly's side and not our implementation. I can't remember what they changed though.

It covers their 'Site Magic' S2S VPN, I think there was even a lab on that one. We use Site Magic to connect our schools together and it just works. It doesn't cover the actual setup of a self hosted controller as the labs use a UCG-Max which already runs UniFi Network. But the self hosted controller is the same as one that runs on a cloud gateway AFAIK.

Did this course in Sheffield with LinITX last year. Half a day on UFSP and then goes onto the more advanced URSCA. Exams are fairly easy and open book! Gives a good understanding of what Ubiquti have to offer but it also covers some vendor neutral stuff like OSPF & BGP.

Thanks Craig, interesting point about using GuestDNS as fall back, this has never been suggested to us. Something to talk over with support. On a side note, I just disabled ZSTD in edge://flags/ and it didn't make a difference to this issue.

That's interesting as we have DNS as a failsafe too. I have just changed the DNS on my machine and Amazon now works with the extension still enabled. Switch back to Securly DNS and it stops working so definitely an issue with Securly DNS.

Hi Craig, Unfortunately we can't globally unblock Amazon as we have it blocked for students. Plus there are lots of websites that currently don't work and globally unblocking each one isn't viable. Can you get someone to pick up ticket #808294 so we can continue discussing there?

Hello, Is anyone else experiencing issues with some websites with Securly filtering? Amazon, Tesco, LinkedIn and a variety of other websites are throwing up SSL errors for us. Issues have been ongoing since Tuesday morning but haven't heard back on my Securly ticket yet.

On the subject of POE allocation. They're Type 2 Class 4 POE+ which the Aruba's should provide up to 30ish Watts for. However when I plugged in our network tester to test the POE the 2930F was only outputting 15W despite the tester asking for full Type 2 Class 4 power. Interesting one.

We had this exact issue with 2930F's & UniFi 6E AP's recently. Aruba blamed UI & UI blamed Aruba. In the end we found putting the AP's into low performance mode and getting some powder-coated (non-conductive) brackets from UI support did the trick for us. Contact their support and they'll send you some for free. Out of interest are your APs mounted to dropped ceiling rails?

Snipe can be self hosted fairly cheaply and easily which might be worth exploring. Some web hosts have 1 click installers for it within CPanel. Might be cheaper than paying Snipe to host it.

Does anyone else experience slowness between 8.30 & 9.15am with Bromcom. Have complaints from across the MAT of registers taking minutes to load and just general slowness in the mornings. Trying to work out if it's our network or Bromcom. Never had these issues with our previous MIS.

Pros, it's easy. Cons, anyone can see these videos. Even if they are unlisted there are websites out there that will find unlisted videos. Can you host the videos on OneDrive / SharePoint /GDrive then embed that?

DEP profile is non removeable. Using iOS kiosk mode.

They were added to ASM via our reseller. Have done a few with AC2 before and noticed profile was removeable but not the case with these iPads.

All iPads are in ASM.

We have a fleet of iPads which are supervised with Jamf. The iPads are locked to Safari with kiosk mode and the students are only allowed access to certain websites. Every so often though an iPad comes into our office which has been completely reset by a student. Profile removed and PIN added is the usual thing they do. How can they do this though when the iPad is managed and is in kiosk mode? We can't seem to replicate the issue. Almost seems like the kids are taking them home and resetting them although we have an activation lock to. Anyone any ideas how the kids could be doing this?
