Turning Dell Laptops into simple bootable web browsers
GriffTech replied to Sonic007's topic in How do you do....it?
I put them all on Win11, we don't have ChromeOS licenses and management aren't willing to pay. I literally just put Google chrome on them and that's it, they've worked absolutely fine surprisingly but flex is definitely the better choice if you can use it . -

I'm assuming the answer is no but did anyone manage to figure out anything for the HP 255 G7s? Been here for a few hours but haven't once got past the "securing your hardware" stage -
Anyone know if this was resolved in the end?

Looks like I'm self hosting it then

Hey, I'm looking to get Snipe IT, the problem I have is my business manager isn't too keen on using a service that's in dollars. If I were to go ahead and purchase it via the website does it just convert over to £ automatically?

I am trying to recover files from a user's machine. I've had absolutely no problem transferring multiple folders over to an external drive. I running into an issue with one particular folder, long story short the user has all of their files in a OneDrive folder that they only ever used locally. I receive the 0x800700780 error message when trying to transfer the files. I also cannot open about 95% of the files. I've taken ownership of the folder, scanned for issues etc. My question is, are these files just showing up still because the recovered drive thinks it's still connected to OneDrive or are these legitimately corrupted. Every data recovery software I've used doesn't even acknowledge the files exist despite them taking up 95GB of space. Thank you in advance!

Yes, it's been successful on over 30 machines already, including 3 of the exact same model of PC. -
Setup Failed - A newer version of Setup is required

Office ProPlus2021 -
Machine previously had Office 13, had uninstalled and then ran Office removal tool. Using previously working Configuration and Setup files, no issues on the multiple machines previously used on. Error message says a newer version of Setup is required to install the product. Have installed a new office deployment tool but same error message appears, have put files in multiple locations both network and locally. Can't figure it out!!

Smoothwall - Strange Web Filter Report
GriffTech replied to GriffTech's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Hi, Sorry I'm still having a bit of an issue with this. We are receiving 10/15 of these reports every single day. I'm just wondering if there's a way to stop it from occuring. -
I've come across a strange safeguarding report, the URL seems to be from a mobile device but apart from that I can't really tell what's going on. In the load of text that loads on the page an adult website appears, I'm basically just trying to figure out what this is. The text that appears when clicking the link can be found here: {"configurations":[{"name":"ua-override","configValues":{"customTemplates":{"LIKE_JELLYBEAN":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.4.4; %PRODUCT_MODEL$) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Silk/%SILK_VERSION$ like Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/601.1","LIKE_TABLET":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; %PRODUCT_MODEL$) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Silk/%SILK_VERSION$ like Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/601.1","LIKE_IPAD":"Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; CPU iPhone OS 9_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/601.1.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0 Mobile/13B137 Safari/601.1","LIKE_CHROME_MOBILE":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; %PRODUCT_MODEL$) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Mobile Safari/537.36","LIKE_CHROME_TABLET":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; %PRODUCT_MODEL$) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/537.36","LIKE_CHROME_DESKTOP":"Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/537.36","LIKE_NEXUS_7":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; Nexus 7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/537.36","MEMPHIS":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; KFMEWI) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Silk/%SILK_VERSION$ like Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/601.1","LIKE_GIZA_MOBILE":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; KFGIWI) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Silk/%SILK_VERSION$ like Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Mobile Safari/537.36","LIKE_MICROSOFT_EDGE_WINDOWS":"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/537.36 Edg/81.0.100.0","LIKE_CHROME_WINDOWS_DESKTOP":"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/537.36","LIKE_KARNAK":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; KFKAWI) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Silk/%SILK_VERSION$ like Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/537.36","LIKE_CHROME_MUSTANG":"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android %ANDROID_VERSION$; KFMUWI) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/%CHROME_VERSION$ Safari/537.36"},"overrides":{"amazon.com":"builtin:MOBILE","google.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_MUSTANG","abc.go.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","google.co.jp":"custom:LIKE_NEXUS_7","cbssports.com":"builtin:MOBILE","intuit.com":"custom:LIKE_NEXUS_7","forbes.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_MOBILE","adobe.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","vudu.com":"builtin:DESKTOP","hbomax.com":"builtin:DESKTOP","eisenhowerhealth.org":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","app.chime.aws/meetings":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_DESKTOP","huffpost.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_DESKTOP","mail.live.com":"builtin:MOBILE","facebook.com":"builtin:MOBILE","mapquest.com":"builtin:MOBILE","xvideos.com":"builtin:MOBILE","teennick.com":"builtin:MOBILE","crateandbarrel.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","cb2.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","vh1.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","beartoothwoods.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","telegraph.co.uk":"custom:LIKE_IPAD","nickatnite.com":"custom:LIKE_IPAD","mtv.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","www.mcdonalds.com":"builtin:DESKTOP","mcdonalds.com":"builtin:DESKTOP","gogoinflight.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","keezmovies.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","kmart.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","pornhub.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","redtube.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","spankwire.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","tube8.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","remax.com":"builtin:MOBILE","espn.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","espnfc.us":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","games.espn.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","badoo.com":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.eu":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.us":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.it":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.fr":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.se":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.com.br":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.co":"builtin:DESKTOP","badoo.cl":"builtin:DESKTOP","be-at.tv":"builtin:DESKTOP","encore.wpcl.lib.pa.us":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_MOBILE","kroger.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","vrbo.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET","ubs.com":"custom:LIKE_CHROME_TABLET"}},"etag":"44363a6c0a334073d4dfc1a675232a92","configVersion":"ba9121efc12cc11f472d771aaea6b0c8"}]} Thanks in advance

To give context different users require different programs so they all have their own redirection policies, that's all sorted and working. However, the public desktop is still being displayed so users regardless of OU can see all of the installed programs on the desktop on sign in. I can't seem to figure out what policy disables this. I've already tried what I saw on another post which was to enable Remove common program groups from Start Menu. Any help would be appreciated!

Much appreciated
