I'm going to re-necro this thread, so if it starts looking like a zombie, my apologies! We've currently got 150 shared device licenses which costs a fortune. I'm considering whether to half that to 75, or move to named user licensing. Typically there are 3 IT suites (90 machines) plus 30 laptops, plus 5 staff, although over the past year we've only actually "used" 40 licenses. Named licensing looks tempting - it works out a few hundred pounds cheaper per year for 300 users. We'll not use that amount per year, but I don't know about how it handles changes of user - so can we remove users as they drop from those subjects and add new ones when they join? Can we also easily change from shared device to named licensing without having to reinstall?

They will due to their construction. I can't remember on the Prometheans but on some IWB's they had a wire matrix throughout the board for the touch signal. Not quite a full faraday cage but certainly enough to impact on signal, especially when powered on. Only real way around that are additional AP's or relocation of existing ones to cope.

Legally there is zero difference to fingerprinting - it's biometrics. Morally it's a little different, as fingerprinting you need to be physically present and usually aware of what you're doing, whereas facial recognition is a different ball game. Explicit consent absolutely required and don't just throw it in with fingerprinting.

Information on those seems irritatingly limited and nothing specific to vape detection. Would also like to see some real scenarios with vapes in mind - any air quality sensor will pick up vape, but discerning vape from other threats for a layman is going to be the stinger. Good pricing though (for a full solution like this, it's poor pricing compared to just about anything else so paying almost entirely for the software)

Hisense 55" here. Lovely panel, not fussed on sound as it's via a surround system. Only issue I have with it is stuttery playback over LAN from my NAS even when hardwired regardless of whether the content is 4K or 480P potato.

Bend-radius wise that's likely to be fine, however I'd be more concerned about the friction biting into that over time.

Well, quite happy with the Tapo smart plug. Obviously a little bit of a work-around having to install the app on an android device but that's still frankly less work-aroundy than anything Apple have ever done for edu/business. Time will tell on reliability, but plenty of scheduling options and an easy way to manually turn off/on without taking out ceiling tiles
