  2. Thanks for the suggestions guys - will look at those for future reference. This is exactly the reason I wanted it (open evening tonight) and precisely what I did! Cheers, Andy
  3. Just a quick one, anyone know of a way of "locking" a machine running a powerpoint? And I don't mean [WINDOWSKEY]+L! I need to be able to see the powerpoint Cheers, Andy
  4. Have you heard back? There is no wait now, so if not, maybe worth signing up again. Looks quite cool, but difficult to tell on my micrscopic traffic sites! I was also going to mention Webalizer - Webmin has a nice interface for it. Andy
  5. Hmmm.... We have quite a range of Promethean boards like yourself. All are on fixed machines, but they all have the same software on. Ie. the latest ActivDriver and the latest ActivStudio 2. Andy
  6. You could map a drive in your script to the path and then disconnect at the end? Andy
  7. It's a pity you're not in Lancs, they have a nice big document for you to download and fill in. Andy
  8. Im another Debian. As it's the only *nix distro I've ever used I guess that suits Andy
  9. I had a teacher's laptop on my desk for a while - took me ages to realise she'd taken it back!
  10. Ah. Of course Andy
  11. I thought Baines was a posh place and could afford ceilings in every room! Andy

Looking forward to switching to Sky (from Telewest) when this new broadband arrives - anyone taken it up yet? Andy
  15. I vote for CPC - and also second getting a catalogue. Although it is huge - to me it seems more navigatable (?!) than the website! Another reason I like CPC is I live 2 minutes away and can nip there on my home from school if we need things urgent!! Andy
  16. A bit of an interim answer for you until someone can confirm, but I'm pretty sure I read that 2003 CALs would be valid for R2 Andy
  17. We've had them from Promethean before (they supplied us with the projectors in the first place). They were about £75 each though!!! IDNS may be able to help, we've had spare pens off them. Andy
  18. Hmmm.... don't think it is This has been discussed at great depth already... somewhere (can't find where). Andy
  19. Roaming profiles... brace yourself Andy
  20. Well... I clsoed it opened it again - it works!! Maybe I'll take the phone off the hook for a couple of hours! Andy
  21. Yeah - kinda obvious - but it isn't marking me as correct (I'm fairly certain I spelt batman right!) nevermind - I'll do some work instead Andy
  22. You do have to get the spelling "right" with spaces as required. Oh, and yes, it is winding me up too! I'll set my tame teen-age daughter on it now I think! I gathered that but still no joy unless I've just got the answers I've tried so far wrong 8O It also says the first one is filled out for you as an example... I've not got that - maybe someone could help... as an example Andy
  23. Is it just me being a bit thick? Should it mark me correct as I tab out of the box (presuming of course that I am)? Number 1 has got to be a gimme, but my score isn;t being updated. I've tried a few others that must be right but they aren't doing anything either. Confused... Andy
  24. Nice one TechMonkey - you're a star! Cheers, Andy
  25. you know those old paintings you see where the eyes seem to follow you round the room... I found this last night and decided I must do this when I come in today.
