  1. Looks like that is something else, apparently the issues with Teams was fixed this morning... we've had no other calls today to say they're issues
  2. At least they're acknowledging the problems now, we've been having issues on and off for days. The main assumption here is that it's all the extra load that schools are adding
  3. Running like treacle here, but only seems to be certain parts. Meetings/ Calls/ Chat etc. seem to be ok (apart from a couple of Screen Sharing niggles) but assignments and just general navigation are proving problematic. We're not getting the blame as such but obviously most calls end up here and people get frustrated when we say it's not something we can fix. Either way it's been reported to MS, if they decide to do anything with it. I'm guessing that the massive increase in use over the last few days has introduced some throttling somewhere.
  4. Wasn't just us then... Sooner we can be off this the better
  5. What put you off? It has a few quirks i'm not gonna lie but in most cases we've figured out how to get the best out of it for us (and the other departments that are on board with it too)
  6. We moved from Spiceworks to these: http://www.supportpal.com have been with them now for a good few years. Can set up multiple email/Depts, email replies from staff etc. not that expensive either and support has always been very helpful when I've had an issue. Also has knowledge base/ documentation thing built in which is useful, tags, SLA, Macros (which are brilliant), Canned responses and a load of other stuff. It's currently used in school by IT, Reprographics and the main school Admin Team and it's streamlined everyone's life. We did originally look at OSticket pre 1.10 but found it clunky to be honest, however, can't comment on the latest releases
  7. Xirrus got bought out by Cambium didn't they? We have 53 points around the building we're in, all going through an onsite cnMaestro which manages all the config. Our install only went in at Easter We had looked at other options like ruckus and unifi but decided on Cambium in the end
  8. Cambium here. Can't fault it - simple, easy to set up and relatively cheap
  9. Best way I've found to mitigate this (and I believe is the advice from MS) is for staff making posts to set replies to 'You and Moderators can reply' Edit: You can also change this setting after the fact if you created the message by selecting the 3 dots next to the message, Clicking Edit and follow the same process above
  10. I once saw the remnants of Thin Lizzy a the Wolverhampton Civic Hall - my ears rang for days after - partly due to an awful guitar mix that was just way too loud and I think the aging rockers on stage were sttruggling with foldbacks so had just turned everyhting up on stage. I also saw the Prodigy at the NIA (when it was the NIA) managed to squeeze myslef past the mosh pit to the front. The subs at the front were unreal, proper soul pounding stuff as you would imagine from a DnB group On the flipside, saw Florence and the Machine at the Civic and even with a full band and quality PA could hardly hear them - was almost like the noise police were in that night making sure everything was well below limits
  11. I believe it is the Outlook addin that causes this - we have the same settings as DTT
  12. I believe it was removed to ensure the Conversations and announcements remained prominent. I think you can still see all the changes in the logs
  13. Sounds like the first Mission impossible Movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117060/
  14. If you're setting the computer name to the Serial number why not just pull the name of the machine: echo %computername%
  15. I believe I set it on the Mailbox, and (annoyingly) the option to have the server send an email reply is only available if you use the Outlook Desktop App I think I used the instructions here: https://www.codetwo.com/admins-blog/setting-auto-reply-shared-mailbox/ HTH
  16. We've setup a shared mailbox to do this - instead of automatic replies (they only send once per email address iirc) we setup a rule to Have server reply using a specific message on every incoming mail (we've done this specifcally for vacancies and finance)
  17. This: https://code.visualstudio.com/ is brilliant and free!
  18. Morning Rob, We do have an open support call for this at the moment, just waiting for some responses. Our agent was switched over to do the Group lookup using SBB but no matter what group I add a user to, clients only get assigned to the default group in NS I will PM the log file over from one of our clients so you can see what's happening, by all accounts it's finding the group but NS is reporting back the wrong group so I'm not sure what is going on
  19. Hi All, Trying to do a comparison with another site that may be using the wagent with SBB. We're having an issue with our AD groups not mapping correctly (we're trying to move away from DirSync) and I'm trying to narrow down what may be going on while I wait for support to get back to me. This is our current wagent service config and was wondering if this matches what others see on their machines (I've anonymised where necessary) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Netsweeper WorkStation Agent\WAgent.exe" -S -w NSURL -g GUID1 -L GUID2 -s sbb -F -i -l -v -f TIA
  20. Does this help? https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/current/manual/config/items/item/custom_intervals I've been looking at it too whilst project work is quiet and been going through the docs (and setup)
  21. just a thought... If you go in to the RDS gateway manager and right click on the server and select properties is there a connection limit set there?
  22. It seems that their documentation is out of date, Quick Support is available as a download on their site https://www.msp360.com/download.aspx?prod=cbra
  23. It's been intermittent for us since the outage (that wasn't an outage) last week... a couple of refreshes usually gives some functionality however it's hit and miss
  24. We're not now no, I don't know what we were on earlier. Yes, our finance team called them and they said they had made some security changes around the recaptcha and some other bits. It's working now for us here either way.
