Google just bought Motorola Mobility
It appears Google just bought the mobile arm of Motorola for $12.5 billion! Yahoo is reporting that the agreement is paying a premium of 63% per share over the price they were trading at on Friday.Google are planning to run it as a separate business but one has to wonder what the next wave of Motorola handsets will be like when they are released. This could also mean big changes for the tablets Motorola have been producing and certainly seems to explain why no Motorola Windows Phone 7 handsets

Firefox 6 released early (a.k.a. Firefox 5 is now EOL'd)
Although Firefox 6 is officially scheduled to be released on 16/08/2011, you can now download the final version from Mozilla's FTP servers. Late last night I updated EduGeek's vbulletin install to version 4.1.4. Along with the usual batch of fixes (such as youtu.be support) this version also brought in some new features including a new editor. Some changes for quote requests
Due to reports of some non-sponsor companies guessing members work addresses and numbers and basically spam calling/emailing from quote request posts we have decided to create a "Quote Requests" forum which is members only. When you create a post there only you and our sponsors will see it and only sponsors will be able to respond, moderators can not see your posts currently.
