Well, we’re done... With our second ISTE show under our belt we are now sat in international departures at Philly airport and we finally have time to get down in words how awesome this week has been. we are now running vbulletin 4.1.4
Late last night I updated EduGeek's vbulletin install to version 4.1.4. Along with the usual batch of fixes (such as youtu.be support) this version also brought in some new features including a new editor. Some changes for quote requests
Due to reports of some non-sponsor companies guessing members work addresses and numbers and basically spam calling/emailing from quote request posts we have decided to create a "Quote Requests" forum which is members only. When you create a post there only you and our sponsors will see it and only sponsors will be able to respond, moderators can not see your posts currently. Site change - new prefix style
We have introduced a tweaked prefix style when you attempt to post a new topic in a forum with prefix's. The new style (shown below) should make it clear and easy to set an appropriate prefix for your topic. We will be rolling more prefix's out to other forums soon as we plan to make heavy use of this feature in the future. If you have any problems please post here and I will look for a fix. New Casio LED/Laser Projector Ranges
At the end of March, Casio announced 3 new ranges of the Hybrid LED / Laser projectors which many on Edugeek have been buying and / or using since they launched at BETT 2010. Of the 3 ranges, one was the short throw that was launched at BETT 2011 to much interest from members, especially as it was a significant increase in size over its siblings from the A range which people have been fitting since around March 2010, but it fulfilled the missing gap in the market from them.
