    Got a HPE SAS SSD? Patch it now!

    HPE have announced a pretty crazy SAS SSD problem with some of their drives where they fail at 32,768 hours of operation (i.e., 3 years, 270 days 8 hours) if you dont update to the latest firmware.   If you have any of these drives and the firmware version is older than HPD8 you should patch them asap as when they fail all data is lost and the drive becomes inoperable.     You can check your drives uptime by following these steps: Smart Storage Administrator (SSA) - Quick Guide to Determine
