At the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 - Deployment made easy event
Well as you may have read, myself and Soulfish braved the early start (well I did at 4am!) to attend the Microsoft Deployment Made Easy event at Shepherds Bush in London, which was part of the UK Tech Days Events that Microsoft ran over a one week period in London. edIT Roadshow 2010 - Auckland
Today I attended the first edIT roadshow in Auckland, it was held at the Ellerslie Event Centre which pleasantly had lots of parking available and because of its scheduled start time did not involve an extra hour of wadeing through traffic to get to. 13:30 - Registration Arriving in plenty of time I wandered up to the second floor and was presented with a 'goodie bag' containing a lanyard, several flyers for the featured products and some free stuff including a micro mouse from Toshiba, a 75

Enjoy, there are a few issues (category links broken, login form not styled propely) but hopefull most of it all should work. Fixes for issues will be coming soon as well as some new features but initially this is vb4 relatively flat.

Would you like to help and show us your tech?
Whilst at Bett, I was getting over-enthusiastic whilst showing off the many wonderful Citrix products that I use. Bossman, at this point suggested that I should put my enthusiasm to good use and show others how I've used these products to make my life, and the lives of my users, 'better'. So I began thinking.... perhaps a video for all to see would be good? This, and Microsoft's little push for videos, got me thinking that there might be other members that could also share their enthusiasm.

Donations and charities
Shaun and I have been monitoring the donations thread and have decided that the best way to go ahead with this is to look at giving any donations you want to make to UK educational charities. Primarily because EduGeek makes more than enough to sustain itself now (which is why the donate button 'vanished') and we no longer felt it necessary to take money from you for no reason! So what we have thought we can do is to choose a different UK charity in the education sector (preferably IT focussed)
