Scotbynature Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Started stockpiling food from the canteen. Tasted some and realised it wasnt all that great and went back to finalising my windows 7 roll out.
sparkeh Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Its fine, Earth Mk II is nearly finished construction, complete with Fjords in Africa 1

localzuk Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 What I don't understand is why people are really prepping properly. Making their own arks, or filling their personal bunkers with food etc... Some guy in the UK has collected a pile of crossbows and the like. Why would they want to survive after everyone else died, and whatever it was that did it was likely still there to cause issues?

localzuk Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Why is it the end of the world, did I miss something? Kinda! 2012 phenomenon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Because they hope they are the ones that are left to repopulate the world. It's their only chance to, well, you know... 1

X-13 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) Because they hope they are the ones that are left to repopulate the world. It's their only chance to, well, you know... Really... You're going to pull out the old "virgin nerds" stereotype? I'm not sure if I should prep or not... Logic says it's carp. But I don't want to be the guy who gets caught unawares by it, in the unlikely event it actually happens, when we've had this much prior notice of it. Edited December 12, 2012 by X-13
Danp Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Really... You're going to pull out the old "virgin nerds" stereotype? Well, one of them on that tv show clearly was one.
X-13 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Well, one of them on that tv show clearly was one. one != all
Pottsey Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 It’s always a good idea to have a ready made emergency bag that you can quickly pick up. Spare cloths, photocopies of impotent documents and other essentials. It is not a bad idea to have a box of long life emergency food as well. All cheap and easy to setup yet so few people bother as they think they will never need it.
sparkeh Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Kinda! 2012 phenomenon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Oh that, I prefer the interpretation that mankind will undergo a positive transformation; the end of the "age of degenerate." Though I suspect that we will bumble along as normal with neither catastrophe or enlightenment.

End of the world then who cares about copies of documents. Plus, knowing my wife, we will fill both cars with stuff we needed and still not have everything!
X-13 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 photocopies of impotent documents What constitutes "important documents"?
