The battery life is fine if you get a decent signal. If you are on wifi most of the time you get great battery life. Good thing is it dosn't seem to take long to charge. I tend to charge it on my drive home from work, its usually around the 20-30% mark, after a 45min drive its fully charged.

Edit: Its also playing music while charging in the car.

oh thats good!

Don't bank on googles updates. The customer support dont know what is going on and I received my phone before I had the dispatch/tracking number, which arrived 3 days later.

Getting much better battery life than the GS2, now zero usage at night when I used to lose 15-20%! Wireless always on. GPS and BT off. Live wallpaper (some great ones) always on (no extra battery usage if done right).

I didn't want a huge phone so went for the Motorola iRazr XT890. It's much smaller than S3 and has a 2GHz Intel Atom processor.

Its pretty quick, no bloatware and has ICS 4.04 installed.

The Nexus7 updates from Google have been pretty spot on so far.

I'm interested in the Razr I, but i'm a bit concerned about battery life, I'm capable of flatening the battery on my Defy by lunchtime if I have to actually use it, and the atom is not the most frugal of processor architectures, how have you found it?

Nexus 4 would get my vote, but, I love the fact I can if I want carry a spare battery for my HTC Sensation, I am still in two mind if the 4 is right for me or not

For £279, a whole £221 cheaper than an iPhone 5 or N920 - im quite chuffed! If I dont like it I could probably even get 98% of my money back selling it as second hand in a month or two!

It has been better than my HTC desire.

I'm usually connected to the school WiFi, but don't use it much throughout the day except for checking email.

I connect to my home wifi when I get back. Up at 6:45am and It's on about 50%-60% charge by 11pm. YMMV

or 150% of your cash back selling now...

on a serious note I have had the N4 for a couple of weeks now (got it around 3-4 days after launch if I remember correctly) and love it. So smooth, excellent screen and excellent build quality. On the downside battery is only so-so but has been on all the Nexus phones I have owned (and I have had all of them). I get around a day and a half's use out of mine with 3-4 hours screen time so not really bad at all. Seems to be a few wakelock bugs (details of one here [Q] msm_hsic_host wakelock - xda-developers) particularly related to location services and google now as well which should be sorted soon.

Well.. Now I just feel behind-the-times.. Still using a HTC Desire. It might be a few years dated, but it's still working solidly (besides the time I didn't quite flash it properly and messed it up, my mistake!). Internal memory is a bit low, but that's what SD cards are for. I don't have the money to upgrade.. Maybe when my contract runs out..

So many choices!

You really haven't made it any easier!

Anyone else had experience with WP8?

WP7 here and it is a good phone, does all the phone stuff reliably and my ancient one with a single core 1ghz chip has a smoother UI than most other phones I have tried short of the quad core SIII. For what you want, a reasonable size phone with a memory card slot the Nokia 820 should be a good phone. The WP stuff is good and although the API still has a few holes the support is going up and more apps are being made. The UI really is good for a phone which is what it was designed for.

Well, my Google wallet order is still pending, that doesn't mean much I know! Its gone from delivery in days to weeks and now the estimated delivery date has been removed altogether!

Might buy a like new S3 off a colleague instead.

A friend is in a similar position @CHR1S He has been in contact with the customer support team all week and the latest update was they are awaiting another shipment from LG, but will refund the P&P for those who's estimate was 3-5 days when ordered.

Have just contacted them about getting a refund for the postage as had the 3-5 days delivery, phones for my girlfriend though otherwise I would be pretty annoyed right now if I had bought it for myself. Seems like a lot of people have been messed around over these orders.

5 months on.... Nexus4 or Razr I ?

Is the Razr worth £5 a month more than the Nexus?

My Sensation died and I can't cope with my temporary LG E400

Samsung is stealing Apple's thunder lately. I now know of 7 people with S3s, all of which couldn't resist buying one after seeing mine, 2 of those people were avid Apple fanboys, now they wouldn't go back!
