Little-Miss Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I hugged @ZeroHour....i'm not a tactile person...GET OUT OF MY BUBBLE!
localzuk Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Lol, I am just imagining just putting everyone in one big room and watching how awkward we all are...
witch Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Come at me, bro! You're calling me "bro" again - remember what I said about the difference between boys and girls? I seem to be in full working order... And I was hugged in front of various people who might've wanted to buy something from me. Ah, but that just showed them what a wonderful warm and caring person you are and how they too, will be that happy if they DO buy things from you... 1
SYNACK Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Lol, I am just imagining just putting everyone in one big room and watching how awkward we all are... Schrödinger's IT conference, participants neither present or away till observed by camera. 1
plexer Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 *coughs* That's quite enough of that thank you @X-13. Else next time we meet you'll get the full-on edugeek witch-hug. That'll embarass you beyond all recovery. Which reminds me, @plexer. I was there ALL DAY FRIDAY and you didn't see me. I could think that it was deliberate but I will try not to.....Just wanted a hug, *sniff* just didn't bump into you and wasn't at the geek stand when I was maybe, next time Ben
X-13 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 You're calling me "bro" again - remember what I said about the difference between boys and girls? Was it something to do with one having patch leads and the other network points?
Dos_Box Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Schrödinger's IT conference, participants neither present or away till observed by camera. Don't mention the camera! *pesky ExCel firewall*
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Ah, but that just showed them what a wonderful warm and caring person you are and how they too, will be that happy if they DO buy things from you... Good work there! You shall be discounted accordingly next time you order 1
X-13 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Schrödinger's IT conference, participants neither present or away till observed by camera. So, in essence "pics or it didn't happen"
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 So, in essence "pics or it didn't happen" Certainly sounds like it!
X-13 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 At the risk of having my previous statement reflected back... Did anyone else see the nun at BETT? [it was either a nun, a really big penguin or a caffine hallucination.]
EduTech Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 It was good to say hi to you briefly X-13... I see you like hiding behind the computer screen though mind muhaha!! James.
X-13 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) It was good to say hi to you briefly X-13... I see you like hiding behind the computer screen though mind muhaha!! James. Computer screen... I know I hovered on the outer edges of the stand and lurked on the couch. I don't remember using a computer screen as camo. Edited February 4, 2013 by X-13

Too shy for my own good, ran away to the microsoft stand Another one! We'll have to turn all the lights off or something or get @X-13 can give a masterclass in how to approach the edugeek stand when shy. I wasn't at the stand at Pizza time on Friday... I was in the arena listening to Brian Cox
X-13 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 get @X-13 can give a masterclass in how to approach the edugeek stand when shy. Yes... Get the shy person to give a lecture... I cannot see any potential problems with that.
witch Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 At the risk of having my previous statement reflected back... Did anyone else see the nun at BETT? [it was either a nun, a really big penguin or a caffine hallucination.] Yes, I did, and @bossman was with me so if it was a hallucination then it was a mass one
rf600 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) Wanted to see Brian Cox lecture but the teachers I was with made us late, Edited February 4, 2013 by rf600 spelling
elsiegee40 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Yes... Get the shy person to give a lecture... I cannot see any potential problems with that. I said nothing about a lecture @X-13... you were demonstrating ably
sted Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 At the risk of having my previous statement reflected back... Did anyone else see the nun at BETT? [it was either a nun, a really big penguin or a caffine hallucination.] i saw bees, mad scientists and a horse simulator
X-13 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) I said nothing about a lecture @X-13... you were demonstrating ably Yet, I couldn't talk to Google, Samsung and 2Simple because there were too many people around. And I missed out on a 3rd Frog cup for the same reason. [i found out today they had larger "Frog Primary" ones too. My standard Frog one is too small...] i saw bees, mad scientists and a horse simulator Bee ladies, caped people, a nun, robohorse, various geeks and a tiger [OK, someone in tiger facepaint.] Edited February 4, 2013 by X-13
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 The Dancing Robots stole the show for me!
SYNACK Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) Don't mention the camera! *pesky ExCel firewall* Excuses, we all know it was redacted for the security of the handshake :-) Another one! We'll have to turn all the lights off or something or get @X-13 can give a masterclass in how to approach the edugeek stand when shy. I wasn't at the stand at Pizza time on Friday... I was in the arena listening to Brian Cox Perhaps a 'double blind' greeting area where participants are separated by a wall and a chat room setup or more inventively where both are blindfolded. It could help keep that handshake secret too. Edited February 4, 2013 by SYNACK
HarryMonkey Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) Was good to have a catch up with @GrumbleDook. Thanks for the new lanyard and bottle opener. For those who didn't/couldn't venture across on the cable car, this is what it looked like (the rainy pics are on the way there and the others are on the way back). As well as a few of the surrounding area. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gih6ygpcv6t36md/F9OA0skHyS/London Cable Car Edited February 4, 2013 by HarryMonkey
