I'd like to run a long HDMI lead from Sky Box to my bedroom but I'd appreicate some real world info 1st :)

 

Has anyone run a long HDMI lead sucessfully - is so how long - where'd you get the cable?

I with a high grade cable I have a run of 15Meters to my projector. I believe you need a repeter if you need longer.

 

edit, I also think you can go longer (20M without repeter) if you don't need the full 1080p (sky isnt so maybe)

You can get HDMI over CAT6 extender kits including IR for about £60 from CPC, be warned they need 2 runs of CAT6 not just 1 like VGA
