Ashampoo software is offering free site licenses for any school in the world. All you need to do is fill in a form and they will send you a license to use the software throughout. MkII Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Just downloaded and registered too - works fine. Registration is a 3 step process but not an inconvenience - after that you get the license key for your whole establishment. Nice find ZH!

Looks like old nero express a little which is nice. It should be simpler to use then deepburner (not that it was hard either). Going to look into a MSI package for it. Will let you know what I find.

ZeroHour Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 NOTE: The version you download is 6.2 which is used to create your educational key. 6.5 is the latest version though and you can use its installer I think with the generated serial for education if you need the changes. 6.5 adds: Vista support 18x/20x speed drive support (DVD)

I know i am being cautious but mum old mum used to tell me nothing in this world is free and to this day i found this to be true. within reason.

netadmin Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I have found that it can be easily repackaged with Wininstall LE. I looked for silent install options and did not find anything. I was able to deploy the Wininstall created MSI through Group Policy.
