sippo Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I received this in the post this morning. Any idea's what it is. It doesn't turn on/light up/turn on. I'm currently using it as a pen holder...
sippo Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) Nope you can't write on it. The black bit is like rubber. Edited April 20, 2012 by sippo
jamesb Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I would've said mousemat, but it's a little small for that.
LeMarchand Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Looks like a stand for a PDA or phone. I have something similar on my desk at home (but it has USB ports and a card reader built in).
X-13 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Nope you can't write on it. The black bit is like rubber. Ah. The black bit looked like a leather bound notebook. Maybe it IS a pen holder?
Mr.Ben Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I thought it looked like something you would win at a rubbish awards ceremony 1
sippo Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Ah, thankyou oh wise ones. Think a pen holder is better!
andy_nic Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Is it magnetic? A paper clip holder? And I would take it the rubber bit is so it doesn’t get all scratched up
Gatt Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Is it magnetic? If it is then it can be used as a "Hard Disk Error Eradication Device"
X-13 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Is it magnetic? If it is then it can be used as a "Hard Disk Error Eradication Device" [censored] magnets. How do they work?
korifugi Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 [censored] magnets. How do they work? You need to own a horse first.... I think it's a cheap phone / tablet stand.
Domino Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Is it heavy? could be a (L)User Attitude Realignment Tool.... 1
Chris_ Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Is it magnetic? A paper clip holder? And I would take it the rubber bit is so it doesn’t get all scratched up I doubt it's magnetic as he has pencils stuck to it!!
north-ict Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 It could be like a calendar thing or something that required them to stick something to the black area of the actual thing (eg rip off calendar, notepad). Or something to your school to say thank you and they just sent a blank one by mistake lol. I dunno *shrugs*
jinnantonnixx Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I doubt it's magnetic as he has pencils stuck to it!! Clearly it uses wood magnets. If not, how on earth are the pencils sticking to it? Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.Arthur C. Clarke's 3rd law.
BassTech Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Aren't you supposed to stick post-its on it? Looks like it could be for that?
Rawns Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Heat it up and see if any magical markings appear on it...
Pete10141748 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 First reaction is that it's meant for a phone or PDA or something similar to be displayed on it.
theriver Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Clearly it uses wood magnets. If not, how on earth are the pencils sticking to it? Honestly, you people. Pencils contain LEAD, and LEAD is like, a METAL, right, so obviously they will stick to magnets. 1

Miscbrah Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Heat it up and see if any magical markings appear on it... Spill some blood over it, see if a genie appears! Also does it has flavour?
