SYNACK Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Stuff I'm watching: Community Big Bang Theory Fringe Castle Breaking In Psych Supernatural Person of Interest Grimm - renewed for S2 Being Human (UK) Burn Notice (when is back) New Girl Mythbusters etc. Don't know if they are on in the UK but all worth watching.
LeMarchand Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I got sent a disc of the first few episodes of "Once Upon A Time" (starts on 5 this weekend). It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you can buy into the concept you may enjoy it - it's my favourite of the 2011/2012 shows. IMO miles better than "Grimm", though it seems that the 2 shows appeal to different types. OUAT does suffer from the need to spin out the plot to last what they obviously hope will be a few seasons, though. Apart from that, looking forward to S2 of "Game of Thrones".

Pete10141748 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 My OH was watching "Being Human" (UK version) after ploughing through the first 3 series' on DVD which I got her for Christmas. Not my cup of tea though, I love vampires and supernatural/scifi stuff but it just seems lackluster and quite stupid at times. I've not watched "Game of Thrones" yet but only because I'm waiting for the holiday next week when me & some mates are doing a non-stop run of all of series 1, expecting to love it though. "True Blood" now we're talking, love it. "Big Bang Theory" what's not to like? "Community" was the best thing on TV for a while Currently also re-watching "House" as it's been long enough for me to forgot some of the plots and medical terms

Will be watching Game of Thrones when it comes back, just got through the 2nd book in time, well worth a read!

By the time I have sat down of an evening, there is usually only about an hour until I have to go to bed. I know I am out quite a lot but I know some of you are too. I will have a look at some of the shows but things like Bones and Rizzoli etc are brilliant books and from the bits I have seen they have changed the whole dynamic of the character interaction so I don't think I will watch those.

Of the comedy shows, though, I must watch both Big Bang and Raising Hope or I have withdrawal symptoms.

By the time I have sat down of an evening, there is usually only about an hour until I have to go to bed. I leave work at 4.15pm (start at 8am) and am home by 4.30pm if I go straight home. No kids and no pets, just me and my OH who gets home from work about 7pm so I have 2.5 hours there to myself to watch my shows (TBBT, House etc) Once OH is home we watch one or two episodes of 'our' shows like TrueBlood (which we agreed never to watch without the other) while we catch up about our day and have dinner OH falls asleep about 10.30pm (she's the Site Agent at the school so she is knackered most evenings!) so I play some Xbox ad/or watch more of my shows. OH wakes up from sofa & goes to bed about midnight, I'm usually up until 1am at least. So on an average day when we don't go out, I have around 6 hours to myself to watch / do what I want. The benfit of living in a small flat means that I can be cleaning the kitchen and still see the TV so even household chores don't get in the way of my shows EDIT: I'm just going to add that 3-4 evenings a week we go out, our life isnt just work>tv>work>tv>work>tv.... lol Edited March 27, 2012 by Pete10141748

No idea why; I do keep one eye on the road. 2
