tom_newton Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 Cheeky ping of this thread - just in case people missed it as I posted at 8 in the evening. Where have all the techies gone? There was a time we'd be inundated with applications for these posts.
plexer Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Whats an eeferral? ;-) Something they do up north? Runs and hides. Ben
michael2k6 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 This would appeal to me if there were a car allowance with it but the salary doesn't cover my wage and car at the moment.
tom_newton Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 I shoulda taken advantage of a spellcheck I guess. Grr John Smith did almost join Smoothwall many years ago - we're looking for someone slightly less experienced than he, and obviously mr 2k6 up there too
john Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I shoulda taken advantage of a spellcheck I guess. Grr John Smith did almost join Smoothwall many years ago - we're looking for someone slightly less experienced than he, and obviously mr 2k6 up there too Indeed I did, and how ironic when I came for interview I knew OF Smoothwall from here that be all I had never actually used it ever till that point, and now I am a big user of it and love the product and the excellent relationship I have with everyone at Smoothwall It brings a brilliant benefit for the teaching and learning in our school and many others Also love how my techy clearly doesn't want me to escape, and I don't want Mr2K6 swiping either as I need him to stay where he is

nickkirby Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Tom's out and about for a bit, but do drop the Leeds office a line (address on website) and they'll be able to let you know more details.
popeel Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 John, You may know that I am using DANs Guardian + Squid-guard and works perfectly for content filtering and URL Filtering. Didn't know that you went to smoothwall for a job like everyone in county council
