Yup after Konrad zuse . Bonus point there. We also have 2 servers. 1 berners and 1 lee. Berners needs lee to run PS auto correct changes it to dude
-
we name the virtual servers after people who have some sort of association with its role. eg zuse, babbage, etc. For the physical hosts as we have just moved to clustered hyper-v we went for comedy double acts. so we have mitchell and webb. armstrong and miller

Also if it is suitable quote how much it equipment you had 5 years ago and staffing levels and how much now. sometimes it can show the equipment has doubled but staffing does not reflect this.

wow three people posting about rm cc to vanilla. must admit it was quite a process 2 years ago but we got it quickly working and are really enjoying its features. we also use DPM for backup too and looking in to TMG 2010 this year. apart from that all we seem to be able to do is pc / laptop / projector and switch replacement. nothing new and exciting really.

Hi, do you have a GPO does not allow to log on locally if network not present. is something like do not allow temporary profiles? thanks robs

unless i am mistaken, Promissor is a piece of software that allows you run secure exams. you have a server that downloads a secure exam to a share. this share is then accessed by promissor with a username and password and decrypted. Promissor runs in full screen and disables as much as it can. Eg Escape alt + f4, alt + tab so that you cannot cheat or do anything until you have finished the exam and hit quit.

Multiple 'My Documents' folders on network users share
Dagaz replied to marsdenprimary's topic in Windows 7
One method is to use the file screening if your server can do it. we block desktop.ini from the homedir folder on the server. home folders being renamed to "My Documents" - desktop.ini woes Robs- 12 replies

PC's turned off when in use take longer to boot up....
Dagaz replied to kennysarmy's topic in Windows 7
we are the same. Staff can lock but students can't. Also disabled fast switching. All students are taught by tutorial never to leave a pc unattended and if they have to they have to log off. thanks robs -
I would also agree to the 2nd DC. I have 3 as a just in case. Apart from that I have pretyy much the same breakdown.

99.5% x64 and thats only cause about 2 clients i have can't take x64 OS, hoping to get rid of them this summer. also i agree with the office x64 comment. have found the x86 to be lot easier and less memory hungry.
