To be honest Jamie I have found that currently people are after experience more than qualifications. The other thing I would say is if you are interested in earning what some may call a larger salary, education really isn't the place to be. Like Edu-IT has said, cuts are being made!

Not a website with a auto refresh meta tag refreshing in a switched session or something? Have you tried restarting the machine and seeing if it goes away?

We had CS4 working perfectly with MDT before we switched to SpecOps for software deployment. If I remember correctly we used the supplied wizard to create a silent install package and it did the rest for us.

Does anyone know what "Local Management-To-UPS Communication Lost" means and how to resolve it?

EDIT: Feel free to ignore, just found this. Morning All. Really strange one which I really do not know how or why it has come to be, but we have around 60-70 machines which share the same network GUID, which is massively upsetting WDS and therefore we cannot deploy these machines. Has anyone ever seen this before and was a solution ever found. Thanks in advance.

Spent ages trying to get the DisableTrayIcon to work, got absolutely nowhere with it. Did you more to anything more... preferable?

Hi Steve, I've seen this, but its not really practical to have to set this on every machine manually, only way I guess would be to incorporated a pre-configured VNC into our build.

Works a treat however has anyone found a way to hide the icon from the systray? I've tried a variety of methods found online however had no luck at all.

Another small yet really annoying issue that I've come across but cannot find a solution online. The "Downloads" folder is one of the biggest culprits for causing slow profiles on our network. I'm looking for a way to redirect this to be within the users home directory which isn't synced to the server like the profile data is on logon. Anyone got any ideas?

Hopefully someone will already know the answer to this one, I've had a search around the net but found nothing. Is there a way built in (or a simple way) to send a message/email every time a the Administrator account is logged in. I was thinking using netsend as part of the login script may be one way to do it but was wondering if there was anything better/purpose built out there at all. Thanks in advance.

As far as I am aware the dot solution does not work (didn't for me), however the solution found at How-To: Hide a Boot Camp Partition - Mac-Forums.com worked perfectly for me, for the purpose of hiding the BOOTCAMP partition.

So... I thought I'd give XenDesktop a spin and see it in action for myself. Installation went smoothly, no issues, connected to the XenServer absolutely fine, and created a pool of VMs from a template, I can even log into the web console and see the pool.. however I can never connect to a machine from the pool, it just sits there, loading widget spins, and eventually it pops up saying "Connection Problems", if you do click the connection problems link, it reboots the VM its attempting to connect to so it is being allocated a machine. Anyone got any ideas what may be causing this? All help appreciated.

hi vikpaw, yes this is windows 7, and these issues were found with the previous update as well (in fact every time since we deployed W7). Will take a look at the SIMSperm and the possibility of using SOLUS 3. thanks
