Rawns Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 It's just hit home today that I have only 29 days left of my 'twenties'. It's not really bothered me but thinking about it now, I feel a tiny hole in my stomach. Maybe I can kill that feeling on the day with celebratory curry and beer, plus I have a suspicion that the wife may be getting me an iPad. Gadgets will help take my mind of it... 1
sparkeh Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Ah don't worry, I hit 30 just over a year ago, its no biggie really 1

DT2 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 30s club... don't like the sound of that.... i have 2 months 8 days.....
Haptic Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I turned 30 in March last year also - it wasn't as bad as first thought. It's just that now I have no excuse to act like a 20 something or at least that is what my other half keeps telling me! Chris 1
elsiegee40 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 30!... Some of us left that behind rather a long time ago... and we're still alive and kicking! 2
broc Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I'm approaching 30 again...... life after 30 isn't so bad..... 1
Brucy Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) Still two years to go for me, although how old do you have to be before you start to act sensibly?? Edited February 2, 2012 by Brucy can't choose words correctly...
Miscbrah Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Maybe I can kill that feeling on the day with celebratory curry and beer And beer. And beer. And beer. And beer. And beer. And beer. And beer. And beer. 1
witch Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Still two years to go for me, although how old do you have to be before you start to act sensibly?? As another one who left 30 behind some time ago....you don't EVER have to start acting sensibly....... 2
Domino Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 As another one who left 30 behind some time ago....you don't EVER have to start acting sensibly....... wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Rawns Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 Well I was not planning to act my age. Throw a penis/fart joke in my direction and I'll still giggle like a school child!
tommej Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 8 years 30 days to go!* *not strictly accurate but you get the jist ;D
CAM Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Me and my friends are mid to late 20's and you really notice age when conversations about kids, marriage and property start cropping up. "Wait why are we talking about property?" "Uhh, damn we are getting old."
Flatpackhamster Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Still two years to go for me, although how old do you have to be before you start to act sensibly?? I'll be 36 in April and I still feel like I'm 21. I still like loud music and fast cars and beer and whatnot. At least, I feel like I'm 21 until the morning after, because then instead of feeling fresh as a daisy I lie around for 36 hours feeling like death warmed up. Some people I went to school with were middle-aged at 17. I plan to be ridiculous forever.
Iain.Faulkner Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I had the horrible realisation this morning that I only have 20 days left of my 20's :-( But forget acting sensibly :-)
aerospacemango Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) I can't believe anyone is worried about turning thirty! I'm 12 years away from that....on the wrong side....and have never worried about my age! Age is just a number, and can bear no relation to how you act! Enjoy your 30's cos by the time you reach 42, you'll be pining for those last days of 29!!! Edited February 2, 2012 by aerospacemango Missing the "'t" from the first sentence!
GeeHubb Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Lightweights! I can't even remember turning thirty! It was completely eclipsed by turning fifty - and even that was a while ago! Still not acting my age though! It's just that everything hurts a bit more and takes a lot longer.... 1

elsiegee40 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 As another one who left 30 behind some time ago....you don't EVER have to start acting sensibly....... Very true... It just takes longer to recover!
