Rawns Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 This came up after catching up with the wife's uncle who is bar manager of a hotel in Pembroke, Wales. He said that the Harry Potter cast stayed there when filming parts of the last two films there. He chatted with Daniel Radcliff and Rupert Grint while they were both at the bar and said that they were both really nice, friendly lads. Emma Watson though barely made an appearance and was quite "snotty" when she did pop up. He also had a log chat with Warrick Davis (awesome guy!) about his career (Star Wars, Willow and the like) and was saying how everyone used to wind up Harrison Ford on set when filming Star Wars. People would go up to him, give him a poke him and say "George want's you in this scene." Mr Ford would wander off only to be told he wasn't needed. Apparently, he used to get really p****d off about this! Anyway, personally, the most famous person I've chatted to is Carol Lee Scott. You may remember her as: I used to work at Morrison's back at college and she lived near by and always came in to do her shopping. I used to love Grotbags as a kid even though she scard me, so whenever she was I'n, I'd help her out with her packing and take her shipping to her car for her. One time she came in and gave me her last colour photo of her as grotbags autographed on there, and even called me a brat on it! So, have you guys met anyone famous?

I sat a couple of chairs away from Stephanie Cole in the theatre this year, the bloke she was with was famous but can't for the life of me put a name to the face. Alfie Bow and Aled Jones last year at the Welsh Proms. Simon Weston, who was burned badly in the Falklands. Precious MacKenzie, olympic weightlifter around the 70s. Lee Evans lived a couple of streets away from me, this was way before he was famous, I'm sure our paths crossed as he dated my neighbour. Tony Robinson, he sat me in his kitchen with a glass of grapefruit juice. I was there to price up some decorating work. Also met a load of the hollyoaks cast at glastonbury a few years ago and cooked for them, and also Heather from Eastenders and her son! I've also thrown Nann bread at Phil Jupitas

Philip Schofield (his parents lived round the corner from me!) Davina McCall when she was doing a show called Street Mate (no, I wasn't involved!) ....Does Thomas the Tank Engine count?! He came to Yorkshire when I was 4 years old!

I went along to the Chill Factore in Manchester a week last Friday, with a group of 6th Form Students and whilst we were there we bumped into Rio Ferdinand, His Wife and two children! He was happy enough to have a chat and pose for a few photos! Met a few others Celebs in random places...

I was also on stage with Alan Taylor of Mr & Mrs in the 70s and around the same time Frank Carson (I didn't like him one bit, even more miserable than Van Morrison)
Templar Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I have met loads of boxers, for instance - both Hatton brothers, Micky Gomez, Johnny Nelson, Enzo Mac etc as I used to spend a lot of time watching the shows at the MEN Arena (usually ringside) so my face was recognised by them and you get to talking. Also met Henry Rollins, Keith Allen, Tori Amos and even had a kiss and cuddle with Fil the lead singer (FEMALE!!) of a band called Back to The Planet.

Growing up I was in the circles of Irvine Welsh with football,clubbing and raving days, pre football drinks with the proclaimers and "fish" from Marillion in the pubs around Hibs ground. I've met the infamous Glasgow gangster Jimmy Boyle's son back in the early 90s (who died a few years back). I have also met a lot of famous DJ's and producers who kickstarted the dance music scene in the late 80's in the UK. Gail Porter I used to see regularly at my local bus stop when she worked for B&Q before hitting television. Actor Jamie Sives who played "Chiv" beside Vinnie Jones in Mean Machine was the year below me at school. One of my old school friends who we used to knock about on our oldskool BMX'es started up his own software company, which then he moved into consultancy and had a lot to do with Rockstar North and a lot of input into GTA etc and an old classmate from primary has made a huge impact as a chef and restaurantier in South Africa after being trained by Jean Christophe-Novelli. Moving down south, I have helped out Martin Kemp with quite a few IT related issues and have spoken to a lot of Eastenders actors/actresses who have passed by as we were only a couple of miles from Elstree studios. I was stood right next to him and I thought that I recognised him, but couldn't place his face! It was only when we got out of the lift and he started to 'entertain' in the hotel lobby that I realised who he was Funny bloke. Andrew

I then worked for canon uk and would fix hardware / software in central london houses / gov. Had tea with sir stirling moss, Had a poo on margaret thatcher toilet. Have been in some famous places such as under the MOD in whitehall, No.10, Buck palace. Probably more but better do some work.

He was in the queue in front of me at Alton Towers right before the World Cup when he had "an ankle injury" - my bro asked how his ankle was and he said it was all hype. His Wife Coleen was there and what I presume was his bro & Dad. He had his hood up etc trying to hide from the masses. Wanted to ask for his pic but didn't want to alert everyone else to him being there as he would of got flooded!
