john Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Half a day to wash and polish cars?? How many do you have? rofl Jo Three Cars, but I've only washed two of them today, the other is to do tomorrow, as for polishing etc, well yesterday I washed the alloys on one of them on all corners (so took them off and back on etc) whilst doing some other jobs on it (im a hands on mechanical type of guy as well as IT dude), so the alloys are done, I've waxed the black trim on the same car and done the glass inside and out, as well as a light amount of internal dusting and vacuming. Car two has been washed and thats about its lot from me as its a pickup so it aint worth spending loads of money waxing and polishing it to show condition unlike Car one which I do like to try and keep in show condition. Car three needs the hot power washer treatment as it looks like its lived under the ground for months, as well as glass clean and wax. So tomorrows car jobs are: Car Three - Wash, clean glass, wax etc Car One - Wax and maybe do a bit more vacuming inside. Car One also needs a bit of TLC with the touch up paint unfortunatly there are a few little chips on it which is not good so I may touch them up as well as I don't want them to go rusty. Bloomin roads here up north, its taken the local highways team 14 weeks to fix 4 pot-holes which I complained about, well 14 weeks ago! Oh yeah, may as well add that Car four will be joining us later in the summer Just gotta work out how I can finance the nice new Golf R32 or GTI (haven't decided which I want yet) Oh yeah also as well as that lot, I've washed the entire BBQ down (huuuuge gas powered thing) and that takes a couple of hours from scratch as it hadn't been cleaned since the end of the BBQ season 8O
linuxgirlie Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 wow puts washing our one car to shame...though it is a E34 530i V8 BMW Still like you considering a new addition to the 'family', I want a E34 M5 so will have to convince my partner its worth it!! Jo

localzuk Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 I have been catching up on the housework I would like to be in my garden but my lawn is a mess and there is a big pile of mud in the middle - but my gardener is going to be sorting it out this week (reseeding the lawn, so its going to be ages until I have a lawn! ) Oh, and I don't pay for the gardener, the landlord does
