captaincharisma Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 road rash is really begging for a reworking with online multiplayer Am i correct in thinking the purple bike was the fastest?
DAZZD88 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Agree with the love for Road Rash. There's something oddly therapeutic about smashing other bikers with metal bars and chains etc... I've recently started my world domination phase with RISK 2. There's something satisfying about lashing Napoleon and Wellington all over the place. I even took a photo as a record of how cruel I could be to my opponent (I'd demolished everyone, left them with only 1 terrirtory, built up my forces around them and then when I got bored I finished them off) I also love to occasionally have a crack on Star Trek TNG: A Final Unity and Also on Bridge Commander (the one where you're the captain and you get to boss people about and have a few intergalactic scraps) On a side note, the other day while raking in the loft for stuff to take to a car boot sale, my mother asked if they could take my SNES and super scope...my response was, "Are you crazy woman!?!?!". Gonna have to sort things out and get it set up again.
aerospacemango Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 After having rebuilt my system with a brand spanking quad-core, mo-bo and 4Gb Ram, I made a big mistake last night.... I installed Half Life again! HL2 had already gone on, and I felt like some proper retro PC gaming...... It amazed me that it would play, first of all, and then when it loaded....My word...you could tell it was 10 years old....but it still looked great!
K.C.Leblanc Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I've just got my old N64 out to play Zelda Ocarina of Time. Fantastic.
aerospacemango Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I'd like to get an old spectrum and a copy of Elite.... I could waste a few days on that one!
jinnantonnixx Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I'd like to get an old spectrum and a copy of Elite.... No need, with this the world is your whelk.
LosOjos Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Picked up a Master System to add to the collection over the weekend... I had forgotten what an awful control pad that thing has!
sted Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Picked up a Master System to add to the collection over the weekend... I had forgotten what an awful control pad that thing has! iirc mega drive ones can be used cant they? but it has been a while 1
LosOjos Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 iirc mega drive ones can be used cant they? but it has been a while I didn't know that! I'll try it tonight I was never a Sega kid, I always had the latest Nintendo, but my missus was in to Sega so I bought the SMS to please her really... plus it looks good amongst my slowly growing collection of consoles
K.C.Leblanc Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I didn't know that! I'll try it tonight I'm not sure the 6 button ones will, but the 3 button ones definitely do. If you haven't got them already get Phycho Fox & Wonder Boy 3 the dragons trap. Both fantastic.

Flatpackhamster Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I'd like to get an old spectrum and a copy of Elite.... I could waste a few days on that one! There's a version that runs on Windows that you can download here: Gosfish Games - Download Free Games - Elite - The New Kind
Rawns Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Am i correct in thinking the purple bike was the fastest? I think it was the black bike.
jamesfed Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I was (and still are) a bit of a Star Trek geek so had to be- Star Trek New Worlds (took ages to find a PC that will run this!) Star Trek Bridge Commander (runs great on anything ) Star Trek Birth of the Federation (little bit glitchy but as turn based stragetys go its great!)
Norphy Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Going back further, the two Star Trek adventure games were good too, 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites.
featured_spectre Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Birth of federation...be ferengi and set up trade routes to everyone, then bribe everyone to be in your alliance, when you have mated out on technology on every planet, go nuts against federation first, then cardassians, then romulans then klingons...excellent strategy that never fails for me
SmellyLlama Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Jagged Alliance Turn based team shoot em up rpg adventure merc thingy Great fun, a small games company are revamping it for release soon. Really hope they do it justice. Worth checking out, I'll try and put some links in at lunch.
