KWestos Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I've been trying to get hold of these all day. No-one is answering ANY phone calls or emails, they surely can't be on holiday. ANyone else got in contact with these today???
CHR1S Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 They recently moved offices, could be issues because of this
riffleman Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Or maybe they've taken advantage of the short week and closed up for 3 days?
KWestos Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 Just found out they have gone out of business
glennda Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Just found out they have gone out of business Source?
cromertech Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 That's handy I got a suite of computers from them last year. I guess my warranty won't mean very much now!

KWestos Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 That's handy I got a suite of computers from them last year. I guess my warranty won't mean very much now! I did the same, would have had 4 years left on the warranties of 50 machines

pritchardavid Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Is this A2Z Computing Ltd of Newport???? Nope Leicestershire 1
Edu-IT Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 So that would be: About Just to clear up any confusion. Right?
robk Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Ah ok - was just wondering as we have used them in the past for various bits! quite glad we didn't go with there biometric stuff! The Biometrics are developed by cyclone industries, who I beleve split off from A2Z some time ago, and therefore are still opperating. I was hoping that an offical announcement from the ex A2Z would have happened by now but not seen anything yet. (apart from other suppliers telling me the details of course!) It appears they have gone into Liquidation, don`t know what details are publically available.

GrumbleDook Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 To be honest, all sorts of things get said when companies go under or when things are moved around. Auditors and Companies House do keep an eye on these things as well as trading standards so it might just be worth not suggesting such things until a formal notice is put up from administrators or the company itself.
featured_spectre Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 (edited) I personally have no opinion either way, our warranties for equipment ran out 3 weeks ago, and we renewed with a different company who specialise in just dealing with warranties. Happy days Edited April 26, 2011 by featured_spectre
robk Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Its worth noting that companys that A2Z resold for/ provided support for are not affected. So both Cyclone industries (Live Register) and Impero are NOT involved in this. Impero have always been independant, and have been providing their own support for the past Year or so. 1
russdev Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Its worth noting that companys that A2Z resold for/ provided support for are not affected. So both Cyclone industries (Live Register) and Impero are NOT involved in this. Impero have always been independant, and have been providing their own support for the past Year or so. As few people have contacted us over problems A2Z seem to be having. Like Rob said Impero was never owned by A2Z they were our main reseller a few years back but we have been selling direct to schools as well via other resellers for number of years now. Impero is growing stronger every day and Impero has not gone bust. Edited April 27, 2011 by russdev
Timmay2606 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 It would be nice if the administrators bothered to put up an official post on the A2Z website, but I can say for sure that all of the staff have been made redundant from senior management down to individual account managers. I personally know most of them and have been following their progress for some time now. You will probably receive calls from the acc mans as they have quickly moved on to new companies. I feel sorry for the non-sales staff though who may struggle to move so quickly into new jobs. There were some good people there and I wish them all the very best. 1
JonWPS Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Only just had confirmation of what has happened this morning from our former account manager. Goes some way to explaining the problems we sometimes had with them in the past, but does leave us with 100+ PCs without any sort of warranty on them now, which isn't great.
