elsiegee40 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I found it so hard to crawl out of bed in the dark this morning... I know I went to bed an hour early, but I really did not want to get up this morning. Also, it's astonishing how many families seem to have been unable to adjust their clocks to get into school at the right time this morning
featured_spectre Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I didnt go to bed last night as I knew it would screw me over (always does), so tonight I will sleep like a log

witch Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I always change the clocks before I go to bed and consider that I am going to bed at THAT time. I don't have a problem with it and got up fine this morning. It was light by the time I went out to walk the dog at 6.30 anyway. I don't get jetlag either - maybe it's a metabolism thing?
elsiegee40 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 I think it's getting up in the dark that threw me. I prefer the lighter mornings.
penfold Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I forgot to change the clocks but got up and hour earlier thanks to my phone automatically altering it's setting and not realising it does this(first new phone in about 8 years) Of course the fact that my girlfriend had altered some of the clocks and my hangover made for a confusing few minutes of not knowing what the time really was
pagelad Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Got up to watch the F1 on Saturday and Sunday, knackered me out so i went to sleep like a log last night! Makes a change, usually stuffs my body clock for a few days

Dom_ Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I forgot about the change too, don't have any clocks in apartment - just phones and computers that do it automatically. Got in the car and set off, then looked at the clock and thought bugger I'm an hour early!
Domino Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I think it's getting up in the dark that threw me. I prefer the lighter mornings. I had the same problem - however getting an alarm clock that increases the light level before going off makes a difference PURE Twilight, DAB/FM Radio with Mood and Wake Up Light: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Willott Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Is it wrong that I haven't changed the clock in the IT room that the office is off just to mess with the kids minds?!
sister_annex Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 My clock updated on my phone automatically and alarm went off as expected Android 1 - 0 Apple so did mine... Android 1 - 1 Apple

sted Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Is it wrong that I haven't changed the clock in the IT room that the office is off just to mess with the kids minds?! its only wrong if you alter it on purpose to really confuse them so roll it back 1/2 an hour say
elsiegee40 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 Now we know the real reason you wanted one I choked on my coffee then
ZeroHour Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 so did mine... Android 1 - 1 Apple But to be fair how many firmware updates did that take to finally work I had hell with my iPhone and those bugs. 1
Sirbendy Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 But to be fair how many firmware updates did that take to finally work I had hell with my iPhone and those bugs. Psh. Amateurs. Radio-controlled clocks FTW. Clocks change in our house automatically. Old school tech 3, mobiles 0. I had the same problem - however getting an alarm clock that increases the light level before going off makes a difference PURE Twilight, DAB/FM Radio with Mood and Wake Up Light: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics Nice. I suffer with SAD, and in the winter I made my own. 1 plug in 24h timer, 1 flexi-neck lamp, 1 60w daylight bulb. Set that to power on about 30 minutes before the alarm went off, and no more issue. I find a 16 month old baby sticking her finger up my nose makes an effective alarm that's not fooled by the clocks, but run by stomach..hah..
Linux_Nut Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Blackberry autoupdated then did the same as Dom_ when i was driving in, Might have to get a backwards clock for the office. HB BACKWARDS CLOCK from Hawkin's Bazaar For compleate confusion change the mechanism so it runs like a normal clock but the numbers are backwards, nobody but you would be able to tell the time.
teejay Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 My other half was there for both qualifying and the race. He's working in Sydney and went to Melbourne for the weekend. I'm not at all jealous, honest, *walks off in a huff*
john Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 My clock updated on my phone automatically and alarm went off as expected Android 1 - 0 Apple My Windows Mobile 6 phone did as well and has done for MANY versions so
witch Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 it won't be dark in the morning for very long - in a few weeks it will be light by 5am
penfold Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Psh. Amateurs. Radio-controlled clocks FTW. Clocks change in our house automatically. Old school tech 3, mobiles 0. Thats what I have by my bed too. Unfortunately it didn't change on Sunday so I manually did it. When I woke up today I thought I was an hour late as it had added an hour on itself...maybe I should check the settings a little more closely:o

My radio controlled watch didn't update and then threw its toys out of the pram showing ERR when I tried to force an update.
