As some might know, I'm intending to set up a business this year selling various software systems I've written. However, the name 'Localzuk' doesn't exactly slip off the tongue.

So, this is a small contest to name by business. The one I choose will be sent some booze of their choice as a thanks. :)

Ideally, it needs to be a simple word which doesn't need spelling, can easily be 'logoised' and is somewhat unique. Also, needs to have a decent domain available.

So, ideas?

localsoft.co.uk appears to be available - follows on from your localzuk ( localsoft ) and don't see anything hard with spelling that.

Spooky, I posted that but deleted it once I'd seen the .net/.com's were taken.

I'm looking at the same right now too ... unfortunately GDK (GrumbleDook Knows), GDT / GDTech (GrumbleDook Technology) and GDIT are pretty much gone. GDKIT has most domains free though ... (GrumbleDook Knows IT) ... so probably going for that soon.

That's pretty harsh if you've reg'd it!

Are you aiming to get a good ranking on a search engine for what you're doing or just have a cool name?

I don't mind about it being cool or not, it just needs to be sorta unique (ie. hopefully the .com of it is available), and it has to be catchy enough for someone to remember and not have to remember how to spell it.
