Are you married?

If so, did you have a video and do you ever watch it. I'm amazed at just how much some couples pay for a video and some of the vomit inducing showreels I have seen! Just call me an old-fashioned romantic.

We didn't have one to save a bit of money (as they can be very expensive for what they are) but we wish we did still have one even if it was only viewed once a year.

 

We both found that because the day was so busy / exciting there are a lot of things we cannot remember clearly or wish we had seen from different views.

 

Such as - seeing the bride just before entering, and her seeing me fidgeting before she came in hehe

 

So even if it doesnt seem like it will ever be viewed... if you can afford it, and afford one which will capture many things on the day then go for it!

We didn't have one, looking around they were just too expensive on top of all the other costs. We did however have a family member record most of it on their own camcorder. It was nice to watch through it after as there was so much I missed, the day was over so quick! However I haven't watched it since although I've only been married 18 months so I may watch it again.

I chose not to as I wanted to remember the day, not watch it as if it were someone else. But I do regret not having video bits of the things I missed - these days people would have stuff on their phones or minicams for me to look at, but back when dinosaurs walked the earth, that wasnt possible.

No video and occasionally look at the photos print a nice one and leave it around the house, my missus likes it :-) I believe there may have been a video of the speeches (nothing to do with me! and looking to delete it as soon as I find the source!) also video of dancing / party / band as a promo for the band is on YouTube here:

We had a video from an uncle of the brides as a wedding present, I have sent DVD's to family who couldn't make it, I have never watched it!

We've got one, but it was just done on a decent video camera borrowed from a friend and one of the ushers manned it for us, so it's not like it cost us much.

No video but we put our favourite four photos on canvas and are hung up around the house. Makes us smile whenever we look at them

no video here either. lots of pix though and do look through them occasionally. nice to see family we haven't in a while, and also quite touching because one of my wifes uncles died 5 days after the wedding, so it was the last time he and all his family were together as a group, so good to get his pics captured

same here, got a canvas of us for our house, one of me and my dad for him, us and grandparents for wifes grandparents, just as sort of thank you presents.

We didn't have a video, and we haven't actually got round to ordering the official photos. We've been married 6 years! In fact, we don't have any pics of our wedding up in the house at all. Should sort that out really.

I didn't want a video in my face all day so we didn't pay for a pro, however we did have my Brother in Law video the day. I think we've watched it once, the best bit was seeing my Nephew who was page boy and only two at the time come running down the aisle with the rings (tied tightly!) on a cushion shouting Uncle Chris and Lossie which was how he said Llinos back then! We couldn't see that from the front of the church.

We don't even have photos of our wedding in 1973. My parents turned up unexpectedly and boosted the attendance by 33.3%. My brother had some cine film outside the church at his wedding. I recently put it onto dvd for him and then my sister in law asked if I could print off a still of her late father. It's not brilliant but it's the only photo they have of him. He would not be photograhed and refused to even be in the wedding group.

We had a video, I've seen it three times in total. We had the official pictures which I've looked at twice and the unofficial pictures, taken by one of my best men (I had two, just to be different) which totals 2 dvd's worth!

We chose not to as well... talking of dinosaurs, we'd probably be looking for someone to convert the video to DVD so we could watch it now. The technology has changed somewhat since I got married!

We had a video, best few hundred quid we could have spent I'll post company details if anyone wants, but the DVDs came in a fantastic little box with a ribbon and confetti petals

 

We honeymooned in New England and took the DVD to show our friends in Pennsylvania who couldn't make it
