From the Tory Manifesto:

"bring forward detailed proposals for robust action to tackle unacceptable bonuses in the financial services sector"

Mr Hester [ CO of RBS ] a bank WE the tax payers own remember is reported to be getting 2.5 million pounds in bonuses.

And there was me thinking we were all in this together Mr Cameron.....you moron.

The "We are all in this together" line is BS anyway, a lot of these Tory MPs are millionaires anyway. None of these cuts will ever affect them.

But tightening up the expense allowances will destroy their families! Have you no heart?

Hardly a valid arguement considering most MP's a millionaires, or do you still believe 2 jags was just a working class guy.

No not at all, since the start of the thread was about the Tory manifesto I continued the theme. I'm very much aware that hypocrisy is present across all political parties.

And no LeMarchand, my heart was removed when I realised MP's are all as bad as each other. Isn't that a sad state of affairs when at 22, I voted in my first ever general election and I already feel like that?

At 22 I still haven't voted. No matter who gets into Downing Street, they'll be corrupt within minutes and going back on their promises. I think if I ever do vote, it'll be for the Mad Raving Loony party...at least we'll be entertained while the country goes up the swanny.

I voted for the first time at 25. I was away the previous time there was an election, plus voting in my area has become a moot point.

Only the big 3 ever go in and the occasional distance-bencher looking for any seat he can get. Most of them don't even live within 50 miles of the area either.

And the tory candidate has won for something like 10-15 years on the trot, if not more, as I can't remember his predecessor!

I've met him, and he's a nice enough guy. But he's about as useful as a chocolate teapot in securing services/assistance for our town, as we get bulldozed by the neighbouring constituency, where the council has more clout, and anything they want they get, even if it buggers ours in the process.
