I'm in a similar boat only I've been asked to work tomorrow (a lovely bank holiday) and take part in training of staff. It just so happened to be the only whole day I could have spent with my other half over the Xmas holidays. Lovely. There is some things time in leiu don't make up for.

Are they paying you building supervisor wages then lol. I would hate to have the responsibility for the school premises being closed up properly!

I already do lockups and unlocks as I live locally and am a keyholder doesn't fuss me its being sorted out financially for the inconvenience. It's only for a few weeks whilst restructuring work takes place in terms of support staffing.

It's the last day of my Christmas break and I'm just waiting for my daughter to finish her breakfast so that I can take her to the airport. Been up since 03:30.

I used to like my job so much that I was happy to get back after weekends and holidays but not any more. I'm not exactly devasted to be going back but I'm not looking forward to it and I'm already counting down the weeks to half term.

Back in tomorrow lunchtime after packing daughter off to uni. Kids not back until next week, but plenty to do getting my office back from the landing. Had the decorators in! Woot! Not so woot is the fact that the floor hasn't been recovered, so I'll have to empty the office all over again at 1/2 term... :(

And yes, I am looking forward to being back. I enjoy (mostly) my job!

Am I the only one who is looking forward to going back?! I'm sick of looking at the same four walls and the same TV. Can't wait for tomorrow if I'm honest.

Although I generally love my job and genrally don't mind going back, I am having an awesome holiday so not looking forward to going back.

No I am really looking forward to the new start as I too am a little stir crazy but must admit its been the best Christmas and new Year for a long time.

Have got plenty to do when we get back but between us me n my team will have a good productive start to the new year won't we @webman? @tallan? lots of new stuff on the horizon and so little time to accomplish but we will with hard work and a happy fortitude bring to fruition with the least disruption.

Oh! and we will have fun in doing so :D

I'm dreading going back.

Think I might just go in, lock all the doors, take the phone off the hook and hide under the desk all day so no one can find me.

Oh come on. How can you tire of watching the likes of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Naff remake) for the 3rd time in 2 weeks?

I have a plan - I'm going to spend Tuesday to Thursday in a continuous state of intoxication.

I lied, I've started my continuous state of intoxication early - today I have managed to drink half a bottle of Bucks Fizz, [ friends came over lunchtime ], a few beers and I have just finished off the half bottle of wine I opened up last night....Oh dear.
