Gibbo Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Looking better now. 5 cards and the chocolate is piling up. No booze yet though.
tech_guy Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 So far four cards, some shortbread, and a kiss off one of the TAs.......
mattx Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 So far four cards, some shortbread, and a kiss off one of the TAs....... Were tongues involved with the TA kiss ?
tech_guy Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 No, but there was a bit of bum squeezing. I was a bit shocked as I've never had a male member of staff do that to me before 3
LosOjos Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I'm up to 8 cards and a box of maltesers from SLT... last year I got about 5 bottles of wine, but this year no alcohol... the irony is I know it's because I've been so damn busy this term I've not had chance to chat to the other staff as much as last year!
sippo Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I've got 5 cards, a box of black magic, 4 cans of fosters and a free school xmas lunch. I had to keep dropping hints mind. Better than last year!
Tyiell Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 No, but there was a bit of bum squeezing. Pete10141748 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 So far I've been given; 5 cards, a tin of Heroes from Admin (for being "their Hero" giving them minimal downtime despite huge server changeovers happening in the middle of the term, not my bright idea I might add!!!!) a big box of Roses chocs, a cookie & a cake (made by the pupils) and this rather festive calendar made by a couple of Year 2 pupils from Puffins class!
6Foot2 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) 1 bottle of wine for each of us in Network Support and 1 tub of Celebrations. Edited December 16, 2010 by 6Foot2 Correct spelling mistake.

LosOjos Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 1 bottle of wine for each of us in Network Support and 1 tun of Celebrations. An entire ton?! You'll still be eating those next year!
6Foot2 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 An entire ton?! You'll still be eating those next year! Oops. I originally put 'tin' in here and was in the process of changing it to 'tub' when I was interrupted. I then posted the comment only partly corrected.
Tyiell Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Still though, maybe they should sell a 1-ton case of chocs. I'd buy them!!! Saying that, then there'd be several hundred kilos of Bountys left at the end (I hate Bountys!!)

Tyiell Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I'd quite happily take those off your hands! Fair enough, if we get a tin of Celebrations (so far we've had some M&S chocs and a tin of Roses) I'll send you up all the Bountys!!!! 1
crc-ict Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Saying that, then there'd be several hundred kilos of Bountys left at the end (I hate Bountys!!) Yep, I'd have to agree with you there - I hate them too. And we must be right because even my two year old won't eat them, and she will normally eat any chocolate she can lay her hands on!
john Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 We are doing quite well in IT support, must be up to about 30 cards between us, big tin of roses, some hand made mince pies (which were yummy!), some nice biscuits, chocolates of various forms, few bottles of wine, an offer of lunch at BETT from one and many merry Christmas e-mails. All this despite me forcing Windows 7 and Office 2010 on them creating chaos during summer and the start of term, print management to reduce costs, no new laptops and most old ones have been left as XP stand alone thus fairly useless to them and many not getting new PCs in offices / rooms that are not used that often. They must like us really with that generosity (or as someone has just said to me on messenger, they are doing it to try and butter me up for something, to give me bad news or to hope I won't do it again!!)

john Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 can i have a job? lol Unfortunately we're cutting staffing due to budget issues and a local education review so a recruitment freeze is in operation Should add the lunch at BETT is from a long standing supplier not a member of staff.

We managed to get a box of quality streets and 4 mugs out of our supplier a couple of cards and then lots of random stuff that the nice lady in admin brought us in when we asked her to stop on her way in (starts at 930 and we start at 8!) to get us some milk as we ran out!!
tommej Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 We've had a plate of homemade muffins, a box of cakes from asda, a box of ferroro rocher, a box of quality street and a tin of roses. All from staff too!
Chris_ Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 We've not had nice boxes of chocolates or biscuits . I've had 4 cards (3 from the IT teachers) and a gift from the IT subject leader. And I got a muffin from one department. Was rather depressing going in the staffroom today.
sionide Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Yep, I'd have to agree with you there - I hate them too. Eurgh, there's always bounty leftover in our office!! Someone usually takes the dive and polishes them off. Not me though!
